i lift/practice every morning, play again at night. i’ve done this for years and I feel like my technical skills are great, but the mentality and psychological aspect has been what has held me back for years. it is much harder to overcome than a skill/physical problem. your videos have helped me even though i have only watched a few of them. it mostly helps me realize i’m not the only one who goes through this, making me and it feel more normal.

I had this same problem the way I fixed it was just playing pick up and learning how to have fun then eventually it translated over to when I played in my high school games and practices

the beginning of my sophmore year i dressed in a varsity scrimmage because of how i had played against them in practice but as the season went on i went from a guy who could score to basically just a role player only in for defense. Most of this was because of nervousness and i didn’t handle it well so nothing i practiced went into games

My younger self always wanted to play for my own school now I have made it to the team. But the thing is everytime my coach is teaching me plays I can’t seem to remember instead I get really nervous and then when it’s my turn to perform I mess up and coach puts me out everyday I am paying very close attention even to small things. I am not even talking or listening to any distractions and yet I still don’t understand the plays and now like I just feel so nervous coming to practice, and this also makes me not want my friends and family come to my games. Please help me

Can the breathing in for three seconds and exhaling for six seconds can be applied when you do a mindful meditation sir?
@DeepGameBasketball3 жыл бұрын
Yes, but at that point it would be better to do 2/3 of your breath into your belly, and 1/3 into your chest, however long the breath is (ex. 4 seconds into your belly, 2 seconds into your chest, then 2 second out from your chest, and 4 seconds out from your belly). Coach S.
