Dr. Sproul preached it years ago, long ago before this very day. The cure for unhappiness, conflict begins in the heart, wanting something somebody else has. Get it, still not happy. A happy man is content with a peaceful soul - don’t need anything else. Always nagging at you, something else. Happiness is not related to possessions and pleasure. Yet still deceived. God told Paul, I won’t remove the thorn, my Grace is sufficient. Ask humility to enjoy God’s Grace. Thank you God. The late Dr. Sproul’s teaching and preaching timeless. The unhappiness runs rampant this day in history-discontent. The world needs Jesus. ✝️♥️✝️

I paused and made a list and tried this. A solid half of them are things I wouldn’t be embarrassed at all about asking God for humbly understanding I don’t deserve any of it. Some of the things are straight up things scripture says is good. But it was only half-ish my list. Not all, which means I am by no means perfect. No shocker there, I’m a fallen man after all.

Brilliant. R C Sproul is with our Lord now and so I cannot thank him now, but soon. I so identified with this list of "If I could only....then I would be happy". I think we all go through our lives believing this lie. None of these things will bring us ultimate happiness (though we may know a brief happiness). As I near the end of my life I know from experience that our ultimate happiness comes only through finding contentment in God alone. This is Paul's "secret of being content" and it had to be "learned". It is one of the reasons why Christians Fast. We train ourselves to be content in God alone, while also saving up our food or money to give to others who do not have the basics, let alone the material riches we have. It is shameful how unwilling we are to sacrifice a little for others when Christ has sacrificed himself for us. Only when we have practiced being content in God himself can we be as fully generous in our free offerings to others as Christ intended. There is only one joy greater than that of giving to others and that is Christ himself. Open your hands and be generous for Christ has engraved you on the very palms of his hands.

Have faith in Messiah Yahusha and keep the Commandments of our Heavenly Father. That’s how we know we are in Him. Matthew 5:17-19, Matthew 7:21-27, John 13:15-17, 1 John 2:3-7.
@MrPatdeeee3 жыл бұрын
Yes Jesus (English spelling) IS the "Messiah" (Savior in English); and the only true "God Almighty" there will ever have been. As to "keeping the Commandments"; we NEED to realize that Jesus (God) did not only give Moses just "10 commandments"... ...not at all; for Jesus gave him 603 more commandments to give to the "Israelites". Totaling 613; when we add the "10 commandments in. So...I ask, "what is say the 538th commandment?" Or any other of the 613's? Huh? So never forget this... ...Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities (Abominable sins), like the wind, have taken us away. (Notice: 3 "all's") Also remember this: 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (That means we are LIARS!) Thus, the most important thing we should EVER do is to: Surrender to Jesus totally: and pray sincerely to Him; every day and ask him this: Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation (to sin), but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. AND... Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:38 This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the laws and the prophets. AND...IF we do that, Jesus WILL guide us the way we should be. But be careful, we MUST continue to ask Him this all the days of our life; IF we want to sin LESS! And...have a "Happy" life on this earth. AMEN!

The rich are actually the most covetous because wealth is their god. It is not the poor champion communism but the wealthiest men on earth.
@LaCréé.e3 жыл бұрын
Being rich doesn't automatically mean you love money just like being poor doesn't automatically mean you are disinterested in it. If you're poor but jealous of someone who has more it is also a good sign that you love material possessions even if you don't have them.
@MrPatdeeee3 жыл бұрын
That does not mean that ALL rich people are "covetous". For down through the "annals of time"; there have been rich people that were Born Again Christians and VERY giving. There is no greater example; than "King Solomon". Oh indeed. Yes most rich people's "god" is money. But then, MOST people; from the poorest to the richest; are satan-led selfish to the "nth" degree. Oh yes. In fact; I believe that on "Judgment Day", when ALL is revealed; there will be untold "poor people;" that were poor because Jesus (God Almighty) was punishing them; for their quintessential selfishness, stinginess and wickedness!. Oh indeed. Look around. And remember, WE should look into a mirror first; before we say, "That person is stingy"!!! Thus, we must not assume that EVERY rich person is "covetous". In any case, Please Pray and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!
