Ray Cokes was my favourite VJ/presenter. Actually met him outside of a Cure concert at Earl's Court in the early 90s too. He was a fan. Top bloke and of course Robert smith/the Cure are phenomenal.

@@Missjunebugfreak Haha that's what I thought. I pictured him as a really weird kind but couldn't be so wrong. Now I see him as a very deep songwriter who guides the band to paint the songs in the way he intended them to be in his mind. When I watch his interviews now i don't see the lipstick/makeup anymore. His just a cool guy in a cool band.

I finally got to we the Cure live, in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2016. What amazed me, is how much energy the band had. I had tried to lower my expectations, given I'd fallen on love with them in the late 80s, early 90s, and it was decades later, they were practically old men, who'd been on a world wide tour for months already. But no, they were just like every recorded live concert I'd seen of theirs on screen... It blew me away.. Robert sang to perfection, had just the same energy and presence and it was totally mind blowing that he was right THERE in the same "room", same mannerisms, same quiet way of addressing the audience. It just made me fall in love with him even more.

39:34 DAMN! that moment when Robert's scream kicks in during "Tape" and then the lights go out is just fucking EPIC, you can even feel the adrenaline right there! I got shivers even today (2018)... and that stage, my God that stage was soooo badass, The Cure at it's best. Thanks for uploading I'll never get enough of the wish tour and its awesomeness... and yes Boris, Perry and Porl will always be missed, especially Boris...

They played four shows at the Olympia, the 26th, 27th, 28th and 30th. Someone recorded all four nights and they sound really good. They toured most of the year, starting in April. The sets were mostly the same, but the encores were where they changed things around, you never knew what they were going to play. Toward the end, October and November, sometimes they'd open with unexpected songs and they'd throw in rare stuff here and there during the set. They really started to mix it up toward the end of the tour. If anyone is interested in hearing the shows, let me know. They were recorded from the audience and sound really good, and none of the material was officially released so there's no problems.

What a great treat for a hardcore Cure fan! I loved it all. Took me back to '92, the first time I saw them live on this same Wish tour. And while I can't say anything about the Olympia show in London, I can tell you all that the show at William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia was an even more incredible concert than the Chicago, Illinois one everyone saw in the Show video. Not just because I was there, and not just because Robert smiled at me from the stage (I was dressed differently than anyone else there... On purpose.) But because we gave them four encores. Four. And they played Three Imaginary Boys. And they played Faith. FAITH. And their encore version of A Forest was absolutely flawless. And Simon's ending to it was so much more powerful. Every time I hear "Tape" and the beginning of "Open" I'm suddenly running across the tops of chairs again to stand on a chair in the front row.

I saw them for the first time in 1992 as well...in Philly. Over the years I have seen them more than 30 times all across USA, from NJ to Cali. But it was that night in 1992 that cemented them as my favortite band, I was blown away by how good they are live.

William and Mary! I was there! Amazing show! I was only 14 years old. My Uncle took me, we drove 400 miles! It was absolutely amazing! Faith was so unbelieveable. I went home and listened to that song on repeat because it was such a surprise and I was still exploring their catalog. I went from Cure fanatic to Cure extremist. They dominated my clothing, walls (posters), and music collection. I will turn 43 tomorrow and still an avid fan.

I love how soft spoken and well thought out Robert is. I am a straight male but I love Robert and feel comfortable saying that. I have been a fan for well over 25 years and I either never saw this or don't remember seeing it which is a good possibility. I love to listen to Robert speak and I have seen most of his interviews.

This is kind of a wretched way to say but I am a diehard cheer fan since 1983. And only in a bad way my only gifted life would to have Robert Smith sign a picture book and a 45 record that was called Easy Cure before it was The Cure back in 1976 or 1977. Everybody in life to their own I’m sure they’re busy working on something new .that would be my goal in life to have that signed and or at least to meet him once. Cancer is a motherfucker and I don’t wish it on my worst enemy but I hope one day before I die that that mission can be complete ,because it would complete me !!!!!? Again congratulations to the cure in getting inducted in the Hall of Fame what a goal!!! I am at least proud knowing that.

Robert said that the Wish tour will be definitely their last tour. Porl said he's quite happy about that and everybody has other things they wanna do. Boris, when asked if he feels the same as Porl, said he doesn't think about the future further than next week. Porl asked him "Why did you asked me what I wanted for Christmas?" which was a month away. In my opinion, he did it to kind of prove Boris is not honest just diplomatic. Boris replied "I didn't" but Porl insisted that he did, so to cut it short Boris said he meant last Christmas.

Aha I see, Boris just cut the conversation because they were on live tv, and he didn't want to get in to a whole debate of why he'd asked, if he's not planning ahead longer than a week. Porl was probably going for a joke by bringing it up, and Boris cut it off. Makes more sense now :)

He was diagnosed with pleurisy and chronic vitamin deficiency and was sent home after the Italian leg of the Wish tour to rest. He returned about 3 weeks later in Manchester.
