Im new to football just started watching as a culer 2023-2024 season. But i do kinda wanna see ferran play cf with nico and lamine on the wings. Ik ferran does well with spain as a rw and plays better for spain than barca. 25 goals already for spain i do wanna see if he can perfect his shooting and run ins behind. Hes linked uo decently as a cf and has good work rate pulling players. I can see him doing well as a team player like morata did alot this euro

Why would you call him wasteful while presenting a stat which shows that his goals are above xG? As long as Morata has more goals than expected Goals (which he had for the last 4 years) calling him wasteful means also calling at least half of the forwards wasteful.

I think the main point is being missed here. Morata's worth as a striker is seen in the goals he scores in the crucial matches against the highest level of opponent ( as witnessed by the number of winning medals he has collected for clubs and country) rather than over-all goals he scores. He would be the first name on my team sheet every game.

For me he is not overated but he has characteristics as modern strikers. Keeping ball, has pace and size, good in air due to his height, can play one-two with team mates. Too much do list as one striker in front. But now days everyone always talk based on number. Make comparation between him and other. Me personality hates this modern style of football which no longer player as number 10 (playmaker).

he is good but not what was promised of him. I think in transfer fees he is in the top 5 of all time yet he has never had a 20 goals season in the league. Back in 2015 he did incredible showings in the cl against top tier oppositions (made Hummels look average who was one of the best around). Back then you could see things that you don't see in other strikers: He had speed, agility, heading, technique, could strike and shield the ball, run at defenders and an eye for dangerous positions. Yet his consistency and finishing wasn't quite there. The bet of many clubs was that if he gets his finishing right and shows his talent more consistent than he could be the best number 9 on the planet. Sadly this never happened

Torres, Suarez, Lewandowski, Kane, Benzema that's a true world class strikers. For all of them you can name a few qualities. What to say about Morata? Is he fast NO. Is he good dribbler NO. Is he a goal scorer NO. Is hi a good header player NO. Is he creative NO. Somebody will say ''ooo he is a team player'', yeah sure, in starting 11 at least 70% of them are team players. So Morata is one of the biggest scams in football. He was just lucky to be in Real Madrid from the beginning. If he started from lets say AZ Alkmaar, he would never be able to play for best clubs in the world. Imagine having teammates like in Madrid or Chelsea or Atletico and your record scoring season of career is 15 league goals hahahaha. He is just so bad.

He not world class The reason i dont like him is in a juve fan, and i feel although hes our best scorer outside cr7 trezegoal and ADP i ever saw, he never scored when we needed it most and he wasnt prolific, despite the potential.
