Hi Matt, the barn is coming on nicely! And any videos about printers and printing would be fab; your style and delivery are easy to listen to: thanks!

There is a point beyond which the video quality doesn't materially change our enjoyment of the story you are telling. If the Osmo allows you to focus more on telling good stories in a way that doesn't burn you out then I am all for it. This seemed to be plenty acceptable to me. The audio is always where I focus, but your videos are generally great in that regard. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely definitely 100% interested in an Epson video on both items. I missed the Polaroid scanning video and my first thought on this one was that the colours looked weird so to hear it's with a different camera kinda made sense. But also, it had absolutely no affect on my enjoyment of the video. Thank you

Matt, yes please do a review of the printer, especially on which paper works best for both color and b&w photos. I just got one myself and haven’t found any paper that’s very satisfying

Videos of both please! I've been shopping around for a printer and the Epson looks like the ideal candidate for me. As for the photo scanner, I've been trying to find a good way to archive my parent's collection as well!

The barn is gonna be cozy if you get it done and heated before winter. I’d love a space like that! I’d be very interested in a review and some samples from the scanner. Maybe even post a link where we can download a couple of examples to see the quality. I have thousands of my own photos we never sort though because it takes forever to dig them out and find things. And now, having cleaned out my Mom’s house, I’m the current custodian of all the photos from my parents, both sets of grandparents, and even earlier. We have a string of photos of grandkids to great-great grandparents covering eight generations and going back to the 1880s. Preserving those digitally would ensure the last many more generations. Thanks!

Yep I am listening! :). Also I have heard a lot of good things about the DJI pocket 3- I have thought about picking one up. Not that I make KZbin videos but as a recording device for vacations, holidays, family events.. I think it would work well for that stuff.

Great to see another major advacement on the barn. It is interesting to hear all the tings you have to think about just when it comes to insulation. I must say I think you are going in the right direction by putting up proper insulation on the ceiling/roof part rather than just plastic. As for a video on the Epson printer that would be great as I am thinking of getting a printer and even if I can ask for a more in depth one regarding printing as a whole and if one printer is better for B&W over colour etc. For me personally I never mind about the looks of video as long as the sound is good and of course the content, which your video’s are 100%. Your new camera setup looks great and sounds really simple and easy to use. Just shows less is more and technology is getting simpler and less complicated. On a final note thanks to your video on the AGO film processor I went out and bought one and must admit you were right it is a great pece of kit, so thanks for your opinions and time on sharing your thoughts on it.

Loving the progress on the barn! I'd like to hear more on the P900. Please do some analysis before hanging the foamboard insulation ceiling - that looks like a pretty big span and 2x4 framing to hold it up may be inadequate. You should have an architect, engineer, or contractor review what you're intending to install. It's much easier to do it right the first time than to pull it all down and reinstall. Andy

Hi Matt, thanks for your interesting videos. I am sharing with a friend a place in a basement of a building and we bought and share an Epson SC P7500 printer, a 24 inch model. It’s such a huge jump in usability and more affordable solution than a desktop printer. I am saying that because you have so many space in your new barn/studio/laboratory etc…..it could be interesting to have a look. Have a good day Daniel Geneva/Switzerland

Of course video quality matters, but to me audio usually is more important. That depends somewhat on type of video, but bad audio is always killer. I'm not buying a new dedicated photo printer anytime soon, but it's always interesting to see what's available. A review of the print scanner would be more interesting though. Is paper (print) handling good enough and to handle batches without problems and also if the results are good.

Video and audio quality are very important to me. They *might* be secondary to content, but I think the three together form a triad. There is nothing wrong with the quality of your content and presentation. The OSMO is working for you. If it makes your work easier, then all the better. I envy your barn. ;) I'd love to have a man shack.

yes to videos on the Epson devices, I'm not super interested in the scanner, but maybe you can throw in a few minutes with it in the printer video. Regarding the Oslo, I can't tell the difference between the two if not cut directly after when watching the footage on KZbin and I'm a TV broadcast engineer. Whatever is easiest and quickest to work with, that delivers the outcome you want, go for it! At the end, we are here for you and the content you put out there, not to pixel peep your video 😄

The barn is coming out nice, these are the moments that I wish I was handy. The Epson Print Layout software is nice for Epson printers. I use it for my R3000, can't believe it's still going, That scanner has been added to my wish list, I have been considering archiving all of out physical prints and it may be helpful. I would love to see a review. Thanks again Matt for the videos.

The osmo pocket is a phenomenal little camera. It blows my mind how awesome the video quality is with such a small camera, and done even get me started on how great the low light footage is. I’ve been using the pocket series since the first one and Dji really knocked it out of the park with the 3. I think the reason no one mentioned it is because no one could tell the difference.

It's wise that you cover the whole space with insulation boards, but make sure you don't leave things like timber columns or beams exposed, or you'll get thermal bridges right there - unless you put insulation outside, which I don't think is the case.

I have one. As far as speed nothing compares. Image quality is like 90% there. Doesn’t compare to a true film digitization obviously, you’re inheriting the flaws of the print. Sensor glass can get dirty really quick, causing streaks through potentially whole batches. Anything from an adhesive backed album, tape, etc must be removed thoroughly. It can occasionally decide to crop randomly if it picks up highlights as a border, etc. Overall a good product if you have the money and have a lot of printed media to scan in a short time and don’t mind about 90% of comparable image quality.

Listened to the end, the quality of the video is not just about the image quality. If the content is engaging people watching it on their phone while they are sitting on the toilet won't be able to tell if you videoed on an action cam vs RED cinema camera. For me audio quality is more important that image quality (and this sounds good). Long winded way of saying that, its good. Also the fire engineer in me needs to put out the word of warning on ridged foam based insulation, however, please be very aware of protection from lights, electrical outlets an appliances generally, its a great product that loves to burn.

Your band photos made me think. You should get a kick ass sound system out there to jam the whole barn and rattle the windows. Would be a fun vibe for photo shoots, but I guess a bluetooth speaker does the job.
