You want more people to come and fight you... but with the current meta of cracking a ship open in 25 seconds or less and dumping water doesn't lend itself to this mechanic unless the superior forces ( you in every one of the battles shown here) show restraint... I mean, its great that you are still being positive. I like that you are still producing videos and can see the vision that donkey crew hasn't made apparent. For the rest of us.. we see game breaking mechanics being ignored, which is why many are looking back at S4 with nostalgia... which is kinda horrible when you think about it. I'm looking forward to seeing some vids of the newly reworked Ancient city tile. Keep the hope alive.

You're right ships are a little too quick to crack into now that rokker's are a thing, but I think that the strength helps set the larger walkers like falco and buffalo apart from the smaller ones like the dinghy. If they could find a nice balance where fights can last longer (hopefully coming with the pvp update) then I think it'll be the final piece of the puzzle. In the meantime though, there's still always people to fight and you don't lose everything if you're just running a primitive walker so it's a lot of fun!

@@SkyKevin how is this different from when it was in the lobby? As least then you could leave for more than a few days for real life without the threat of the devs changing how maintenance works for the 12th time and losing your base. There are a lot of things they did right that were abandoned. There are some things they did for season 5 that could have been implemented without such a drastic development shift. Bad business and I'm not drinking the s5 koolaid

Might have to reload this and give it another go over the winter months, left a long time ago, when OwO basically just swept all the regions in the map, got tired of the join or die mentality in the early stages of the game. I'll keep an eye out for future episodes here to see if its worth the disc space LOL. Nice review dude!

Thanks for the update dude, I came back to check start of season 5 and was a little disappointed with how far backwards they seemed to go but if your right and a lot of the issues were addressed and fixed that sounds great as I was there day one and love the game so much. Definitely got me thinking about coming back in the future and hopefully bump into you out there on a walker.

For someone who's a unofficial server PvE player, I think the games got a lot better, and as you've said, it's got a lot to offer now for both. You always are seeing posting on the discord general chat about bringing back the old S4 style game, but it's never going to happen as I think the Devs do like the way things have gone, and you only have to see the number of private servers popping up so think that they'll have more a 50/50 player base of official/private server. Now AC is out can't wait to get onto it, and can't wait to see what they do with the iron/worm maps and future ideas for new map styles they might have up their sleeves. :)

THE GAME WAS FUN WHEN IT FIRST STARTED, after they started burning the maps it died out, i was playing in sea which was more intense going against 100 chinese

I think a common misconception people have is that Season 1 was fun because of the game when it really was fun because of the number of players it had. Atlas was the same way where the first launch was the most fun when the whole world was so alive that there were islands with people everywhere. Now you log into Atlas and it's a ghost town. So what the dev's have done with S5 is make it a game that's sustainable even with a low amount of players. That isn't to say it can't scale up to the giant wars we had in S1 but you need the playerbase to do that. It's unfortunate because if the people who all complain about the game came back to play on official it would be constant walker fights on all the event tiles. Once the next PVP update comes out with proxy walkers and king of the hill I would say the game will be in a place that is sustainable to KEEP the playerbase playing but they can still have those giant battles.

they totaly messed up this game in season 5. they dont know how to balence there own game. they dont listen to the players its like talking to a wall. a lot of people agree its not all that fun when the mechanics of the game are messed up. to me the spawn rates need adjusting and the resources need adjusting. the flying walkers need adjusting or whats the point. this game can be a grind or resource hungry game. playing with friends is great and can be a lot of fun ut it gets boring.

Hello my dear! So are you the ones who come to the SA server to zero beginners' ships in less than 30 seconds while the walker is trapped and with no chance of defense? Well, I would like to tell my friend that this type of conduct made 4 of my 7 friends stop playing, they had a walker stuck in a rupus village when you arrived and they reset their walker in less than 30 seconds, that day they stayed extremely exhausted with the game, not satisfied while they were trying to farm new schemes, you zeroed two more of their ships completely, thus making them leave and give up the game, do you know how difficult it is to bring new players into the game? Apparently not, but in fact, it's part of the game isn't it? Well, congratulations for the videos, they are of great quality, but as players, they are extremely toxic, good luck with the future of a game that you helped to exterminate.

I'm sorry your friends lost their hard-earned walkers. Fortunately, there is a PVE map they can go to keep all their walkers safe and build/acquire anything they need. I don't know if you started when this wasn't the case but now there are PVE hard and medium tiles for them to play on and they can venture into PVP to fight when they are more prepared.

@@SkyKevin The issue is not going to live on a PVE map or being restricted to that, it turns out that the factor of zeroing ships is toxic, maybe not for you, but for those who play for a short time and have little experience in the game, this is very sweaty, but rest assured, someday you will be able to fight each other to have fun in the game, you are strongly collaborating with the end of LO. I wish that one day they achieve success in life, because in the game it is guaranteed, lol.

You do realize the population of the game is actually the lowest it's ever been, on official there is 130 players the rest are split between a season 4 server and other private servers.. Your glossing over the fact the games has no objectives. None at all they stripped the two objectives that kept the gaming going and did not replace them with anything.

Right now the big objectives which I don't think people have accomplished are getting legendary quality walkers and gear. I know very few people who have even gotten close to that. Otherwise, you're right there aren't any further objectives like map control and I'm hoping they do add that when the pvp update comes. BUT I will say with where it's at now it's incredible to me that there are only 130 players on officials yet I get into more walker fights on the event tiles than I ever did on previous seasons. Season 1-4 can be described as roam around randomly until you find a farmer randomly hanging out at their base. Season 5 you fight multiple walkers (including buffalo and falco) roaming the event tile geared out and ready for a real fight. The worst part of season 5 is there aren't enough people playing but that's because most of them don't know how conducive the event tiles are to having some solid pvp fights. But nevertheless, I agree with you there isn't a solid 'play this game for the main objective' mechanic right now but hopefully it's coming soon.

@@SkyKevin I can't agree we currently have everything gold the only objectives we had was to farm gold items which is a terrible objective. When u get everything gold what's the objective after that. Go farm relics now? I really think they made a massive mistake you should design your objectives with the game not just make them an after thought .

@@SkyKevin Yeah I was incredibly surprised by just how much the player base has dropped since launch. I played S1 and a little of S2. Their biggest mistake was that they claimed to be supporting solo's and smaller teams of people when in reality they seemed to be letting Zergs run rampant and even seemed to support them with the updates. Well, the Zergs basically ran off all the people who would have stuck it out for the long haul (such as solos and small groups with actual community) had it not been for the excruciating grief they received from the Dev supported Zerg groups. The Zergs started falling apart when they would get crushed by larger Zergs and then the Larger Zergs got bored after they had crushed all the competition and left the game....they were idiots for thinking that a strategy based around supporting Zergs was going to work in the first place. Foresight isn't always 20/20 and I'm sure they have learned a valuable lesson from how they basically killed the game with dumb decisions.

This game is garbage!>... I've been all over the desert and cannot find Phemke's or even kill nurrs with a harpoon. I chase nurrs yet they are faster and then despawn after a long length of running.
