My sincere condolences. I'm really excited about the new Extra Life and hopefully being able to see you live in May. And of course very much looking forward for all of your coming output.

Damn. So sorry to hear about your deep friend Charlie. That kind of sudden loss can rock you to your core. Hopefully some of the loss can be funneled into creativity and transmuted in his memory. Hibernation mode is sorta vital to recharge so you can come back kicking ass even stronger. Stoked to hear there’s new music brewing!

“It points to a lack. It points to a void that you’re constantly trying to fill. The obsession with ‘content’ speaks to a fear of emptiness.” Indeed, the word “content” has taken on an annoying meaning and n the social media era, and this is such a good way to describe the reason for it.

Sorry to hear about your friend, Charlie... Excited about the CONTENT to come however and glad to hear from you ! Are you planning to make a stop in France on the next tour ?
@charlielookerNYC9 ай бұрын
No France this time. Next time in EU we'll do France for sure. It's probably our best zone :)

Sorry for your loss... Regarding the perceived lack of content, it seems to me that your musical output at least has been incredibly consistent over the years, both in quality and frequency. Frankly, I don't know how you do it, speaking as someone who needs to wrestle with pieces and passages and even single notes over multi-month periods. That might be worth exploring in a video at some point, I don't know.

I didn’t hear about losing Chuck until now either. Super sad! He was hugely inspiration and one of the friends from afar from that scene who made up my musical world growing up. I’m going to put in the Time of Orchids CD in my car on the way to work for the next week or so. Sad that I needed this as motivation to put it back on. I have fond memories of discovering how brilliant Time of Orchids was on a 20 hour bus ride to go play on stage with my high school jazz band at Disney Land. And of chatting with Chuck and getting music and recommendations as far back as the MySpace days. Roboshithead made me laugh more than anything in high school. What an imagination. He will be missed over here. Gonna plant a cactus for him and maybe poke my finger on it and say “oww!”. But I don’t think I could do it as hilariously as he did. Also, hi Charlie, love from Oregon. Can’t wait for nextra life.

Ridiculous that you took it down. It was the best video on your channel. One of the loveliest things on YT. You should have persuaded her she was wrong. Or quietly ignored her misgivings. A travesty.
