The Current State of Pirate101 Updates

I really hope this is incorrect but knowing past updates it seems like this might be the case. Let me know what you guys think about this, should Pirate use wizard101 assets for future updates? UPDATE: The footage shown was of a Krok house which will not be used in Pirate101 (that's good) I still hope when they make the revamp they don't just use those assets for pirate.

They DO have a lot of stuff in the files already for pirate101 from years ago, so I think using the assets from wiz COULD work if they use them in a way that isn't just pasting them in their entirety. Also yeah a skyway HAS to be made otherwise it's absolutely worthless, and also they say that if they make a skyway then it will be like aquila in pirate101 and just be one skyway, but that's a legitimately good world so like idk why they think that's a trade off. The new devs are just plain lazy and would rather PLAY developer instead of BEING a developer. I'd probably do better as a dev

After what you said in the last video, I don't think they are going to do anything "new" for pirate. They want us to spend more money, so they can make stuff. That's not how it works. They need to make the investment, and get the interest. Then they will have people come in and play and spend money. Ripping assets from Wizard and pasting them into Pirate as little dungeon areas, is not going to bring players in. Pirates is about ships and sailing to new worlds. I am so frustrated with their lack of trying, at this point.🐊

@@KingBauk like for the free weekends or whatever that they do, they expect us to make the investment. When anyone with a common brain can know that lifting the payment a bit permanently is a much different thing and WILL yield positive results.

honestly, all of skull Island should be free, including tradewinds and flotsam. I know that would add so much more reason to play the game. 🐊

This doesn’t count as a new world for Pirate 101 if there is no new skyway. Simple as that.

When it comes to pushing back the paywall I think a great compromise would be combining the memberships of wiz and pirate into 1 kingsisle membership. That way members get access to both games

Pirate has been neglected and pushed away for years now. Even tho we have a new team for pirate all they have done is just take things form wizard and put it in pirate which is lame like tarturus and now krock I understand they don't have many resources but that doesn't mean copy everything from wiz. Sadly it is a new team not the original where they actually cared and created original and exciting content that made me fall in love with the game. This new team is just doing the bare minimum expecting new players to start playing the game when they can't even keep there existing players happy and hopeful.

This genuinely makes me sad, pirate101 is such a great game with limitless potential, it deserves to be its own game, it deserves the treatment that wizard101 gets, and its been nothing but neglected since it released, I will forever hold out hope that maybe, just maybe, one day, the tables can be turned on pirate101.

I am conflicted about this. On one hand, I am happy and excited that there is any new content at all. O the other hand, I am disappointed that they are not willing to spend the time to make a new skyway and new areas. And I’m not a wiz player! I truly think new content would help retain players and bring some of the wiz community over. I mean the Atmoplex created a new skyway and an entire new world in 6 months (Darkmoor). Why can’t a dedicated team do better than that?? 🐊

What killed this game was when they merged the development teams, and they solely focused on wiz and mobile games and when they got bought by mgi I thought they split the teams and focused on both but now it seems they work on wiz and with any leftover time they work on pirates

I understand the sentiment of pirate players because y'all want a full on world like what Wiz has, however, from my understanding, it's gonna be similar to Wiz's version of Aquila instead of a full length world. If I'm right and pirate Krok is similar to Wiz Aquila then it won't be all that bad, disappointing but not bad.

Far less than wizs aquila it seems, it’ll be smaller than Tartarus and it just seems like a major disappointment from the promised “worlds worth” of content this year

They would lose literally nothing pushing the paywall back and have everything to gain. No player is buying packs before or even directly after the paywall. You buy gear at higher levels and you need people to be invested before they will buy a sub or pack.

Yeah, it's like that because it will cost them thousands of dollars to make it, and they will gain less than they spend on those devs. People gotta remember that this team was hired 4 years ago and they didn't have a clue how pirate101 updates works, that's why sinbad part 2 took like 2 years to make for the game first ever update. P101 original team had plans, probably years ago before the game came out when wizard101 max level was dragonsprye. Their lost their important devs, so pirate101 update won't be as great as they use to be. Remember that.

I think its mostly because they are just using wiz assets for the newer update and wiz doesn't have skyways. And the reason they are doing this is because they don't have a big enough team, so a bit of both

🐊 I like watching you complain, but KI DOES NOT CARE unless you put this on Discord and take it to all social media so more people can see it. As for Krokotopia, we all wanted Darkmoor or El Dorado Tartarus was a mistake.

@@JustFang Yes, I understand that and you may be removed from the extra credit program. but Fang, you are the ONLY content creator who openly posts his opinions, ideas and suggestions which are good feedback for Pirate101. Unfortunately, I don't think the Kingsisle team will go through KZbin and look at what their community or content creators think. They are doing, what they do best EAT MONEY. The sad thing is that Pirate101 is just better than Wizard but doesn't get the love it deserves.
