Yes, exactly what I was thinking when he said he wasted opportunities. If we consider Rohit himself before 2013, he was getting continous chances through out the matches even after continous flops. Sanju's case was different. If he missed one or two matches, he was out of the team. Can't complain though, Indian batting order was too strong to give him a position.

But there are some fact’s missing like he wasn’t selected in the Indian team consistently if you see other players like Rishab Pant he has been given more chances and was in the Indian team consistently even he didn’t perform much i think Pants first half century or a decent score after he played 7 matches continuously . BCCI and also some captains simply spoiled a talented batsman carrier by making him sit on the bench If Sanju had got chances like that definitely he would’ve played really well, the great example is his T20 centuries when he got chances continuously he started scoring well and we all must remember that he is 29 year old and he don’t left much time most of his time got spoiled by sitting in the bench
