You should really consider keeping these videos going. For most seasons; higher viewership is usually at the start and end, this season will probably be more gradual. They have a lot of interesting episodes that we can see will eventually happen. I can only assume that it will pick up later on this year and your previous episodes will grow with this gradual viewership. Thanks for the videos

I look forward these videos each week. You should be part of the team that makes the tv show. You explaine things with so much detail and don't repeat the same things over and over just to fill time. Thank you for your efforts.

If he was "part of the team that makes the tv show", the producers would stifle him and only permit him to say what they want to be revealed to us "lowest common denominator" viewers. He wouldn't be able to go into the research depth that he is doing regarding inconsistencies in the show.

Don’t stop telling the Oak Island story. The fact is, I’m invested. I’m invested in the story and the lore. Although I do agree with you that the show has been a little drab. Unfortunately I can’t afford cable but even when I did I still watched your video. Very nice work. No matter thank you for telling the story.

Thanks for looking into the garden shaft thing. They didn't really talk much about it previously and it was unclear when exactly they did... I figured it was footage that never made it to the show (since they have to cut so much out and don't show everything) but it could be it was shown but didn't get enough air time for us to know that that was what it was.
@johnwoa

Speaking of footage that wound up on the cutting room floor, how about the VERY RELATIVE AND IMPORTANT revelation that the fragment of human bone that was found at a depth of 170 feet that was from the person from the Middle East was that of a FEMALE. This was not shown in a mainstream episode but was "buried" in the middle of one of the show's Specials that maybe a lot people didn't bother to watch. That really irked me as that might have shed some real light on the Oak Island mystery, but this Reality TV show is not about getting definitive answers or solving the Oak Island mystery.

It was the same thing with Borehole 10X. The sonar imagery showed what it showed despite what the diver stated on the show and they all walked away from Borehole 10X never to return. Did you notice how upset Dave Blankenship was? He left the show shortly after. With this Reality TV show, when they appeared very close to getting definitive answers regarding the mystery, they walk away and pursue something else. Milk this show for all it is worth!

I really like these videos, I won't waste time watching the actual show anymore. I understand though if you don't get the views no sense in taking the time it takes you to make these videos. I know you'all put in a lot of time to make a good video, the editing process is long and tedious. Whatever you decide I support your decision, I love your channel, keep up the good work brother! To people reading this comment, if these videos go away the best way to watch the show is skip to the last 5 or 10 minutes of the show and they pretty much recap the whole thing, that's how I used to watch it until I found these videos. I can't stand how Discovery and History make these kind of shows. They repeat the same thing over and over again to fill time I guess. They just make up soooo many things as well like Gold Rush, those people aren't actors and when they get into the drama you can tell it's all scripted out for them. I just can't stand it and don't watch hardly any of their content anymore.

@johnwoa

I've been following the Oak Island mystery since 1962 and I also had never heard of a "Garden Shaft". This Reality TV show is "Entertainment" and NOT a Documentary on the subject. This show clearly only tells the viewer what they want to disclose in order to prolong this show for all it is worth. It is frustrating as this show is not about getting answers or solving the Oak Island mystery. That would essentially end the show and no one up there would be making any more money.......

@johnwoa
@johnwoa Жыл бұрын
@@awesomeatronik When you say something "crazy weird", you hit the nail on the head! There have been too many things (i.e. aspects) about Oak Island that would dictate whatever happened there occurred in ancient times and possibly Biblical in nature. When it was disclosed by that forensic scientist on a 'CoOI Special' that the bone fragment brought up from a depth of 170 feet that was from a person from the Middle East was that of a FEMALE, that proved to me that Oak Island is bigger than anyone could imagine and that the "powers-that-be" are keeping a lid on whatever is there so as to not cause widespread geopolitical problems. Rick Lagina himself said somewhere on TV a couple years ago that they have a pretty good idea of what Oak Island is all about. But they sure aren't volunteering any of that information to us viewers. If what they discover would change world history, it will never be revealed. Somebody A LONG, LONG TIME AGO went to an awful lot of trouble to conceal something deep underground at Oak Island that clearly was never meant to be retrieved. It is not treasure per se. I have believed since the late-1990's that it is a tomb.
@awesomeatronik
@awesomeatronik Жыл бұрын
@@johnwoa unless they discover a lost native settlement, I don't think we will ever know whats down there. The Canadian government has jurisdiction over anything found, and if it's something esoteric or history bending it's never seeing the light of day. Of course the powers that be might have known what's buried on oak Island all along and this is an ingenious way of getting it back "oh hey we're documenting everything, nope we didn't find anything, you saw it all on camera! bye" You are probably right about it being a tomb, but I like the idea that pirates put something there, but already took it out over a hundred years ago, and it really is a money pit. The irony would be pretty funny.

Thank You for the "What Garden Shaft" segment! I was also wondering how I forgot about it when Mr. Clotworthy was talking about it - it's good to know that I wasn't the only one. (Maybe it was because new episodes are no longer written by the late Kevin Burns, who wrote the first 7-8 seasons of the show.) I have noticed the rock garden in the past few years. While there was a good intention behind it, I really would have hesitated to build a rock garden in the Money Pit area until long after all was known about Oak Island because so many people will see it and assume that it was an original depositor or early searcher structure.

I’m a bit obsessed with Oak Island (not to the point of writing books and making videos about it haha) so I tend to check it out on Maps and the appearance of the rock garden terraces puzzled me. I hadn’t seen any reference to that construction. If you are so inclined, please keep making these Oak Island videos. In many ways I believe your videos are a bit more interesting than the show itself. You make clear and concise what the show leaves obscure. The graphics you provide give clarity. This video is a great example of how you are providing clarity to a subject i.e. "The Garden Shaft", which the show itself glossed over in a previous episode several seasons back and never really offered any satisfying explanation on the subject. one thing i find astounding is that they barely speak about the fact that nova scotia, and by extension oak island, was the very forefront of the wars between the french and the british for more than 50 years in the 1700s. especially interesting are queen annes war 1702-13, king georges war 1744-48 and father le loutres war 1749-55. this happens to be exactly the time that most of the finds on oak island are from. this leads me to believe that oak island could have been some sort of secret military cache possibly? a lot of the finds in previous seasons point to a military presence even perhaps the early stages of a fort that perhaps was abandoned when the winds of war turned or when they decided that it was not a good spot for a permanent military installation? is the french/british thing still a sensitive issue in canada or why do they not get into the details about the wars? they are only mentioned somewhat in passing and most of the focus is elsewhere. it seems to me the french/british wars are a lot more relevant to the mystery than any nonsense about templars or even the pirate theories. the reason i say that is that i find it hard to believe that pirates would have been able to construct tunnels underground. if there were tunnels dug the only ones who could have done it would have been military engineers. also, why bother? unless you are fighting a long war, then it makes more sense for grand, secretive construction projects. now did pirates make use of these constructions later after the war was over? well possibly especially since a lot of pirates were ex-navy so they may well have been part of the military force on the island. but that pirates themselves constructed everything is very unlikely if you ask me, especially if the "flood tunnels" are true.
