31 minutes to midnight, work in the morning, and a 35 minute horror story to fall asleep to. can't be healthy and i'll probably be haunted after this, but screw it we ball.

Night terrors are so embarrassing.. I can’t sleep on public transportation or in places with people. Last time I fell asleep on an aeroplane, I had a night terror and I scared the shit out of a lot of people…

I don't know how common those kinds of nightmares are, but I definitely had extremely realistic night terrors nearly every night, growing up. I'd often wake everyone in the house with my screaming, and they would have to wake me. My Mom often prayed with me about them. Not going to go into treatment much. I remember that it would often take me a while after a night terror to reconcile with reality, and to accept that, horrible as it was, they were just nightmares. Very vivid, realistic nightmares, and it felt like I experienced or saw others experience awful things. I sometimes experienced sleep paralysis during the night terrors. Thank God that it was something that I outgrew, although occasionally I still have one but they are rare now, and not as powerful. I truly feel for anyone going through that mess. It really messed with my grades and my mental well being.

Hi MH. I really enjoyed this story for its intensity and creepiness, also your voice makes the story very real, and thank you for that. I would like to share my nightmare ( had not materialized yet, and I hope it stays that way). I'm a scuba diver and my dives are only 130 in depth, and I have this nightmare when I find myself diving and suddenly I see a dead body on my way down, but this body is going up. This nightmare is creepy and surreal, but it could happen.

This comment has me excited at the beginning. So many creepypastas are not remotely creepy nowadays. They're all abstract or just plain dull with the occasional gem creeping in amongst them. Hopefully you're right about this one.

This seems very familiar. After my father died, I dreamed for years night after night, that he came home, and it was all a misunderstanding. Sometimes Mum knew and was confused why I was reacting like that, and sometimes she didn't believe me.

Are you sure you're not my "brother from another mother? I have dreams and visions as part of my clairescience. And I have always used them to write. Tell me, what is the most disturbing or scary dream you've had that should have scared you, but didn't. And also one that did scare or disturb you?

I haven't had nightmares for a long time, but I used to have them all the time when I was younger. Probably the most scary was living through an asteroid strike, I still remember the dream to this day. It felt so real. Sometimes my dreams do inspire my stories though!
