This is how I knew I had the natural inclination for this field, when Snapchat, Google Maps tracking and any other new technology came out, my first thought wasn't how great it is, but how can this be exploited.

Skills Gap? I've been doing cyber security since BEFORE cyber security was even a name! So why have I been looking for steady work going on 11 months now? You're talk was interesting, but I'm afraid a bit mis-leading. Most companies still don't even have a cyber plan (Policies & Procedures, Education) much less a budget geared toward hiring good cyber security talent. It's 2019 for goodness sake! In 2 years, cyber crime is estimated to be $6 TRILLION (Yes, with a "T") Dollars globally, which is more money than the 3rd largest countries GDP (Japan)! Did I mention their loss of business, and reputation? Like earthquake insurance for southern Californians... It's not IF it happens, it's WHEN it happens. Time for companies to get their head out of the sand, and start hiring good, reliable cyber security talent!

Learning how to think critically and how to learn is all that getting an engineering degree is about. If you want to learn how to think GET AN ENGINEERING DEGREE.
@sanskarpandey62135 жыл бұрын
I doubt that. Not all engineering students and graduates are thinkers. I can attest as an engineering student.
