Die Aufzeichnung des Konzerts fand am 19.10.2007 beim Crossroads Festival in Bonn statt.
Bereits seit 1983 stehen The Cynics für ein kompromissloses Revival des in den 60er Jahren geborenen Garagenrocks. Den Sixties-Punk versucht das ursprünglich aus Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania stammende Quartett so authentisch wie möglich in die Gegenwart zu retten…
Höchst verzerrte Gitarren, kurze, prägnante Stücke von klarer Struktur, hingebungsvoller Gesang, eine Rhythmusgruppe, die völlig auf Ausschmückungen verzichtet, Texte, die "teen-angst" durch großmäulig-mystische Überhöhung thematisieren und eine manische Bühnenshow prägen den Sound der Cynics, die zusammen mit den Fuzztones, den Lyres und den Chesterfield Kings als prägende Gruppe des Sixties-Garage-Revivals gelten.

This is a great band that has kept the flame of true rock and roll alive for decades with little commercial success. And that's a shame. They deserved much better. But those in the know love what they've done and appreciate it. Thank you Cynics!

We booked them just only for one evening with own money cause of a mate of us he promoted some Europe tours in the 90s - what a great band totally underrated ☠️💣☠️

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh. They're single "Painted My Heart" was one of the first singles I bought as a newbie 15 year old fan of my hometown music. I bought it at Eides, not knowing that Greg was the one behind the cash register. I have been a fan ever since. They were my regular favorite at the Electric Banana in the early 90's. And when I grew up and moved to Europe, I dragged my Hungarian girlfriend to see them play in Croatia in 2007. Michael remembered me from Pittsburgh and was incredibly kind to both of us.

I love these guys but they kind of peaked early. Their songwriting was never that strong.
