Is it just me or does the "It has rust here, here, here and here" invoke thoughts of "well, if you'd clean and lube it regularly, you might eliminate not only the corrosion issues, but also the stoppages." My goodness, it looked and sounded like that gun was crying out to the gun gods "PLEASE send this guy a container of Frog Lube!" All serious joking aside, great review. Just to let people know...Nitride goes on "Clear," it's a metal treatment. Usually manufactures will then Black Oxide over the Nitride treatment. Some companies like FN use a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) which is a tough coating in its own right. Also, some Nitride treatments will get a QPQ process...which is a Quench Polish Quench process which aids in hardening and the QPQ process can go on Black in color or Clear. QPQ is very durable too. So if you have a Nitride metal part and see the black or any other color wearing off. It's Not the Nitride coming off. Since Nitride bonds with the metals substrate at a molecular level actually penetrating the substrate (outer layer of the metal) layer of the metal. Hope this helps some of you out. And yes I know my stuff, I have a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry.

I've had my P10c since early May as well, and it has right at 4300 rounds through it. Other than the stiff mag release you mentioned, the only problem I had was the tip of the firing pin broke off. Got a used one from CZ-USA. They told me there are no replacement parts available yet. The tip broke off at the 4000 round mark. I've had no ejection problems, ftf, stove pipes nothing. No hiccups whatsoever. It's been a great gun. The only things I'm going to do is replace the striker assembly when Cajun Gun Works develops one, and put a set of Dawson Precision sights on.

Ummm Beretta PX4, Beretta APX, HK P30. In the case of the PX4 Langdon had 50,000 through his without a stoppage, the Beretta APX is notoriously reliable with ranges saying that they just keep running and running, and then the HK P30 again being shot a shit ton by Langdon without stoppages. There is an instructor on here with a G1 PDP that he uses and lends out to students, it racked up 85,000 rounds without a stoppage, but he maintains his guns and he did replace the recoil spring with a flat wire spring (silicon carbide grip was full of hand gunk, but slide looked pretty solid). Of course there are tons of Glocks with dumb round counts. P365'S that have been fantastic for 4000-12000rds), P226/229. Of course Smith makes a pretty reliable gun if you don't hit a QC issue. Most pistols if maintained will just keep eating without a hiccup. We are lucky to have such a great selection.

If I had to guess, I would say the stoppages are because of the recoil spring. It gets hot from the barrel and thus, it's longer. That may cause it to be harder to press completely so slide won't cycle completely rearwards. Something like this used to happen on first batches of Glocks 4th gen., as new dual spring was stiffer than it should be. Just guessing. Anyway, looking forward to buy this P-10C. But it's hard as most of the production is exported to USA from CZ and we here in Slovakia and Czech republic have a hard time to get it, every time it's in the store it's just 1 or 2 pieces, immediately pre-ordered :) YOu have to buy less out there in USA so we can get some too :) Greetings from few remaining free countries of Europe!

As you shoot the gun and it's temperature increases it causes the metal in the gun to expand. The expansion of the metal causes increased friction and additional overheating as well as a slow down in cycling as the metal parts rub together and cause resistance.

Yup, but you get people who don't treat their guns right, and they start blaming the firearm. P320 is still a problem though, multiple engineers have looked it over on YT and have explained how it could potentially fire on its own. Doug Sharp suggested changing mag springs. I say Good call, cheap and easy to try and I like having the stronger ones anyway. I think it sounds like there's a timing issue with the feeding of the rounds, although the spent brass staying in the chamber is a concern that has me stumped. If the mag springs were weak, they wouldn't be pushing the next round up hard/fast enough to screw with extraction/ejection I wouldn't think. It might be a combination of problems. I wonder if the chamber is a tad rough, and when it heats up a lot, the gun is having a problem extracting the expanded/spent case. The way he said that the cycling didn't feel right/felt sluggish makes me think it might be having trouble extracting. Almost like it yanked the spent case partially out, it got stuck, the extractor claw lost grip, and the next round tried to feed as the slide was returning back home after a partial cycle and case still in the chamber. I say "Good luck with that one broseph"

Based on my experience with different CZ models some factory mag springs have fairly low tension so I've replaced them with springs that have 10% more tension. Wolff Gun Springs. The issue with FTE here looks like a combination of issues with perhaps extractor spring tension and mag spring strength. Given the volume of rounds I would replace those springs and lightly stone the ejector to make the gun even more reliable. Just my two cents but I hope it's helpful. Pay close attention to angles if you're stoning an ejector!

First off, thanks for sharing this video. All semiauto handguns at one point or another have a failure or malfunction, and the reason varies from faulty ammo, to a defective mag, to a mechanism problem, to shooter improper handling. The fact of the matter is, based on the laws of physics (including material strength) moving parts on a mechanism are not infallible, or of eternal durability, they react to conditions. You have to do maintenance to your tool, trying to keep it in mint condition, avoiding abuse, and excessive wear, not only caused by ammo but by excessive heat from continued firing, which expands the metal causing malfunctions. The CZ P10 C on this video looks tortured and poorly kept. It is for sure dirty. Keep your handgun wet, well lubricated, and it will last longer.

Factor in classes, that's 1500 or so a month, 4500 in 3 months, if you take a couple big name classes they usualy ask for around 200-500rds. Completely reasonable to put that many rounds through a pistol in 3 months. Just because you don't shoot, doesn't mean you can throw aspersions on others like that.

Great weapon. I’m a long time Glock guy so grip is different. I am enjoying it. Two comments but I wouldn’t say negative. Changing backstrap is a pain. Used a punch set and the pin is hollow, takes a little. Tight is good but a solid pin would make easier. Slide not locking to rear on empty, 100% my grip. Locks manually on open mag. They could adjust this because that mag release is hard to engage. Trustworthy, good shooting weapon.

The pin for the strap is absolute garbage. I destroyed mine trying to get it to go back in. Ended up using a toothpick that I sanded down, it works just fine, and if it breaks I have plenty to replace it with. I am honestly considering hitting the grip with silicon carbide cause the sides have 0 texture. That is of course if I don't sell the P10F, it's a decent pistol, but I find mysself struggling to justify keeping it. Of course that's likely because I moved to the dot and the P10F is not milled. But even if I milled it I am unsure if that would solidify its spot in the quiver.

My P10c is back at CZ only after 700 rounds. The slide release wire spring jumped out of its recess and got all mangled up and jammed in between the frame and locking block. Pretty sure this is the first failure of its kind after trying to research for similar problems. My locking block had a good amount of flex within the frame. Enough flex to make room for the wire spring to jump out and up into the slide/frame rails. Was not able to remove slide to field strip until I yanked on it knowing it will mangle the wire spring even further. Really hope this works itself out. Never had to send a gun back to the manufacturer before. Really enjoyed the pistol while it was working, felt perfect in the hands and the trigger was great.

Maintain your weapon and it won't rust. And not a 'strip every part' maintenance. I've carried a steel gun for 4 years and there's not a spot of rust anywhere even being on the rainy, salty air Oregon coast. Field strip, scrub using hops 9 with a soft tooth brush, douse with WD40, use an air compressor to blow it off. All buildup will come right off. Use a rag to clean the excess, use a good lube for the rails and another good barrel lube. Reassemble, cycle the slide quite a few times, wipe up excess lube, and you're done. I go 6-700 rounds without a cleaning on a 1911 and with that cleaning it goes back to looking fresh as hell and I've yet to have a malfunction or rust, aside from out of battery due to handloads.

I had 2 similar stoppages with my new P10C. After listening to your circumstances I think I can break the code on a generic reason for the malfunctions. My stoppage was a live round stuck in the chamber each time making the slide nearly impossible to retract in order to eject round or see what issue was. This happened with range session less than 200 rounds with one of the stoppages happening in first 50. BUT....I was running 3 types of ammo through the gun - all 115gr. Ammo used: Browning 115 RN (Winchester made), Fiocchi 115 RN, and Freedom munitions 124gr RN. ONLY the BROWNING (WINCHESTER MANUFACTURED) ROUNDS MALFUNCTIONED...never the Fiocchi or Freedom. Similarities: Winchester manufactured ammo was culprit....did you ever have your issue happen with any other ammo? Somewhat similar: mine occured after around 50 and 125 rounds outdoors on very hot summer day in the deep South. Dissimilar: my round was never left in mag in vertical position. Solution: I will not run any Winchester 9mm ammo through it again for future range training to see if this alleviates the not so confidence building stoppages. Until I run at least 1000 more with no stoppage I will not carry this firearm....even though I shoot well with it. I love the aggressive grip. My mag ejection is somewhat sticky but not too much to be operationally unsafe.

The hype surrounding these pistols was insane last year, everybody wanted one and they were highly recommended. I've read about multiple people having problems out of theirs, some even had parts breakage. So you're lucky that you didn't have any parts break! These just aren't high round count guns, CZ has some work to do still yet. You can't increase production and keep the same level of quality control at the same time. I did want one of these pistols, until I read about the dissatisfied people who were dupped into buying an average handgun. Everybody on KZbin recommended this handgun! Of course not everyone is gonna have problems with their particular gun, because just like you said this is one example. I find it kind of interesting that both Larry Vickers and Hickok45 both bought the FN 509 over the P-10C, makes me wonder. Personally I went with the APX, I bought one in .40 S&W and if it holds up I'll check one out in 9MM. Also like the fact that you buy full power ammo, I never quite understood why people used brands like Freedom Munitions. For one it's not actually cheaper and second it's underpowered as fuck. Always train with a practice load that's comparable to your carry load! One reason I always liked .40 S&W (yes, I know most people don't), the FMJ loads are loaded at the same pressure. Great video, this needed to be said! Just because something is popular, that doesn't make it great..KZbinr's will straight up like to you for personal gain. Personally I'm always skeptical of what I read online, so many keyboard warriors that it's ridicuous.

Outstanding, i fricken love my cz p10c. The trigger is sickening.... in a good way. Lol...... soft smooth trigger and the reset unbelievable factory trigger. My only issue is the mag release that is a little stiff. No deal breaker but wish it was a little easier .,....... looking forward to get my hands on the cz p10s. Subcompact ..... thanks ....

When I picked mine up new, I had the same issue with the mag release and the slide release. I kept working both for over a week until my hands were raw, but it did the trick. now their smooth running.

Bought mine at the same time. I've had it maybe a week and a half and its been at cz the rest of the time between two trips. One they mangled the feed ramp. Second time I haven't seen it since. Mine would auto forward very easy and with hollow points the cavity would get caught on the feed ramp. Only happened when the mags were partially full. Still seemed like an issue. Good objective review.

campsite a MAC ditched his g19 for edc because the trigger guard isn't friendly for gloved hands. A gloved finger slightly presses the trigger to the rear without intentionally pulling the trigger. The gun he now carries is a Cz p01, which are made with aluminum frames in standard and omega form not steel. You are right though, plastic sights are failing the customers on occasion, they break pretty easily. That's the one thing I don't like about the walther ppq
@benw94317 жыл бұрын
campsite a Your comment is completely false. I would point out what you said is false, but the gentleman above my comment pretty much sums it up. He didn't stop carrying Glock because they're "failing" their customers, he changed for other reasons.

campsite of plastic sights that I can easily replace my self is the only problem with Glock, then Glock is doing a whole lot better than these so called “Glock Killers.” The S&W M&P 2.0 is the only other polymer handgun I would consider.

I have a P07 and a older CZ75B that are exceptional shooters. The only issue I had was the rear sight on the P07 worked it's way loose but that was an easy fix with some Locktite.

Good video I love seeing people really enjoying there guns and making them work. Just got the cz p10c 3 weeks ago and so far I love it I have 608rds threw it of 3 different cheap ammo and some hollow points with zero malfunctions and that was 1 session I’m gonna put it threw another session before I start carrying it I got a tulster holster today and seems like it’s going to be a good match for it it fits great.

I'm a huge CZ fanboy, I hate that they made the grip feel like a block of wood to me. Doesn't feel like a CZ to me. So I bought a Phantom since I love my SP01. Glad to see someone else that blacks out thier rear sites. CZ makes great platform to build on, to me I'm just disappointed in them right now. Had a chance to build something special instead they chased glock

I agree on checking mag, Also you using white box. I bet unusual carbon from white box like you said . Save up do a four hundred of carry ammo. Practice with crap but base reality after shooting with carry ammo, There's a reason it's called target ammo . Good review though, I remember my young and dumb years when I got rid of a fantastic CZ because of stoppages . And to this day I'm Ninety nine percent sure it was a mag issue.

Im thinking the sluggish part after it gets hot is maybe it its getting too dry? I know glocks like to run dry but some guns dont example being the m&p series. I noticed your cz looks a little on the dry side so maybe it you keep it oiled a little more often maybe that will help. Such an odd ball malfunction

Excellent, detailed review. Yeah, I'd probably clean the gun more, myself... but hey... ignore the haters. The rusted pins and mag release are a good note.

Nice review bro. I went into a local gun store to pick up this pistol and came out with a P320 X-Carry. The P-10C felt like I was holding a baby porcupine in my hand. The P320 X-Carry felt perfect in my hands. It also shoots well now that I've put about 500 rounds through it. With that being said, I still want to pick up a P-10C. I've heard nothing but positive reviews, but I might have get it stipled as soon as I buy one.

Have no issues with mines, but the firearm should be clean and lubricate after every 300 or 400 rounds anyways. Do you let your power tools continuedly to run dry? Eventually it's going to stop working or break. Not a fan of the CZ P-10c, I don't like the firing pin block, there's better design. For corrosion protection I use Corrosion X, Some I know use Fluid Film and they had no issues.

So I bought some 9mm nato and tried to do 300 rounds.. I didn't make it to 100 before I started getting light primer strikes.. In sending it back Monday... I sent ahead and bought a glock 45... That will be my new edc... Really sucks cuz u really like the cz.. But I cant trust my life and loved ones life to it in a defensive setting now... Its been demoted to range gun...

Mine misfed twice in the first 50 rounds. It nose dived the cartridge into the bottom of the feed ramp, and the slide ramp slammed into the top of the bullet locking the gun up. I had to retract the slide to relieve pressure to pull the mag, and get the cartridge out. The bullets had a serious slice in the front, and on the side. Unusable. Disappointed. I thought I might use it as a carry gun. Not happening unless these misfeeds are solved. I’ve seen lots of similar complaints on forums. Even photos of bullets deformed exactly like mine. This is a second generation pistol with the new mag release setup.

I felt a well-used cz p10c at a range and the tolerances felt really tight. The gun is really well and consistently machined...but maybe such tight tolerances combined with material limitations mean that it's more easily affected by thermal expansion?
@Osprey1994 Жыл бұрын
Weird my Czech made P10F is a bit of a maraca, up and down and side to side. If there's that much play on an essentially new gun then I can't imagine how much there is on a well used one.

Watched the first half while pooping and the second while driving. Then I read the description... also have had the same stoppage but was within the first 100 rounds I fired. I attributed it too cheap steel case ammo and not cleaning and lubing out of the box because I wanted to see how she would do under those conditions.

Roll pins and mag releases rusting isnt uncommon on any brand or model of gun. They are almost always just blued steel or parkerized aluminum pins. These finishes rust if oils from your skin or sweat sits on them for extended periods of time. People just never bother making sure the ends of the roll pins or mag releases are properly oiled when they clean their guns. Melonited small parts are way better at rust resistance and they are rarely a factory part from any brand. Just make sure you rub the exposed areas of small parts with a tooth brush that has gun oil on it. It will cut down on small parts rusting from carrying them a lot.

Thanks for your review, I feel it was an honest one! I've had mine for about 6mos and I have approx. 2,000 + rounds through it without any major problems except failure to slide back on the last round. But that's probably because of my grip from my support hand. NOW the real question DEPENDABILITY can or has anyone fired 10,000 rounds through it with no problem's??? Can the CZ replace my Glock 23 or do I still depend on my glock for EDC? Is there anyone out there that totally is committed to the CZ?? To tell the truth Glocks are cheap right now and I'm think about picking up a 17 because of it being a 9mm, lets face it when a situation comes up we need something that won't fail !! Any comments will be welcome ….!

Will my friend it would be nice if there was such a machine unfortunately there isn't all mechanical devices available some quicker than others some more often than others and many more frequently than others. With high confidence though I can explain his failures that extractor wasn't properly heat-treated and it's more down to a point where every once in awhile when it heats up its expanding and catching on the empty brass and stopping it from extracting properly he needs to replace his extractor he's worn it out. it's no big deal it happens and every gun brand there is sometimes a batch of Parts don't get heat treated properly for one reason or another.
