WHAT IS DANCE ALIVE HERO’S
2005年に日本で誕生したストリートダンスバトルイベントDANCE ALIVE（ダンスアライブ）の国内決勝戦。中心コンテンツであるダンスバトルの賞金総額は『420万円』。毎年ストリートダンス界の日本最強ヒーローを生み出してきた。ダンスバトルの他、ダンススタジオ、高校ダンス部、ダンス専門学校や大学・社会人によるダンスサークルのショーケース、さらに高校ダンス部の頂点を決めるダンスコンテストなど内容は様々。毎年12,000人以上の動員を誇るイベントは年に一度のストリートダンスの祭典として定着している。

Soraki is a dance prodigy and a master with his flows. Every beat..every. rhythm ..every note...Soraki expresses it in movement and his start and transitional end is a masterclass of its own. He's an amazing storyteller and I wish the judging was more methodical with criteria rather than feeling. Soraki was a clear winner at the finals. IMHO I think when he gets to the finals the judges on purpose judge against him so that he remains defeated. I would like to protest with the judging!!!! I've seen many dancers but not like Soraki and the world agrees based on RB comment section. DewTV y'all did the man wrong but he came back strong winning RB 2022 for Japan. Give the man a Gucci, LV. YSL, Adidas, Nike contract.

Ah forgot to add Soraki's facial expression are so on point...the best. IMHO breakdancing is so so boring to watch in a dance battle as it's so mind numbing and when the judges compare Soraki with breakdancing this is where I get heated. Soraki's not a breakdancer but has foot movement that adds such dimension and texture to his dance and that for me is what brings joy to me watching Soraki.

Hokt showed far more skill and versatility. Breakdancing takes some serious skill. I just wished that D Soraki responded with floor work. Hokt called him out. D Soraki should not have won. Just my 2 cent.

Interesting opinion because IMHO, although breakdancing is a truly difficult skill, it not very versatile when it comes to expressing music. It's mostly about doing tricks (my 2 cent). When you're grooving to the music, do you see yourself swaying to it on your feet or on the ground popping on your hands, neck and back? If this was a breakdancing competition, Hokt would have won hands down because he's an incredible breakdancer...one of the best I've seen at such a young age. Breakdancing isn't Soraki's skillset so his "floor work" is being creative and expressive on his feet--which I thought showed more versatility.

It really depends on the criteria. Is this competition about degree of difficulty and athleticism or rhythmic sensibility and creativity? Both are amazing performers.
