Im glad someone has shone the light on the life of a DABBAWALA... These dabbawalas need recognition its a laborious livinG.. YET IT STILL THRIVES AND STOOD THE TEST OF TIME amongst delivery companies ... Salute to all dabawalas ... Sadly its not bollywood material for a movie stupid romcoms with no message breaks box offices

It’s incredible that they almost never make a wrong delivery. Such a beautiful example of the human spirit finding solutions for problems.

even though I am currently staying in Germany, sometimes when it comes to speaking of uniqueness about my country, rather than food and culture I have shown dabbawala videos and also sent many of my local friends links to watch the documentary. I feel, their work is an example of Hard work, Dedication, Accurate and Perfect, and the best example for perfection in life. Jai HInd 🙏

Unique of your country is the huge amount of bacteria everywhere and the lack of basic hygiene standards. India is known as a big filthy toilet in the world

I have question, and it's not born out of disrespect! I'm genuinely curious. Why not pack a lunch the night before and bring it to work? When I commuted from NJ to NYC everyday, I packed my lunch the night before, usually something I didn't have to heat up, and when I left in the morning at 5am, I took my lunch with me; I had a 2 hour commute on public transit. There was no one home to cook for me during the day anyway, we all went to work lol. On the days I wanted to splurge, I would order something from work.

Nothing about the folks who grow and prepare the food. I looked carefully for it. If anyone knows about how the ingredients are collected and prepared, I would be very grateful to know, because that is the foundation.
