Finally caught up with all your videos! Feel like im an expert on Amorim now 😂 again love the use of the slideshow. I agree with the question marks on certain players and positions but as you have said in summer Ineos were never going to be able to fix the entire squad in summer its going to take a few transfer windows to get there. Great vidoe again. Enjoy watching these as always.

You are a breath of fresh air James, everybody else banging on about " Ten hag was also like amorim when we hired him" jesus wept one has nothing to do with the other. The data and everything points to Amorim and his style of direct football and high possession hybrid suits us more than just possession heavy football like Xavi. This is a perfect coach for United at this moment in time. 👌

Maybe I’m the only one that thinks this, but I think our lack of a left back could see Garnacho at LWB. He loves playing in space & Amorim’s wingbacks stay super wide to stretch the field, apparently. Plus, he’s young, energetic, has bags of pace, can get up & down the pitch. I think that, in this system, he could be molded into this position. OR we buy one within the next year.

@KingErik710 сағат бұрын
Great video again James. Really interesting to see who he goes for as the two along side Rasmund I've heard that he wants those two to be strong with back to goal which is definitely not Rashford or Bruno's strengths. Also exciting how some of the most promising youngsters fit in kone, Mantato, Ibrahimov, lacy and Obi -Martin all seem perfect. And theres more. really exciting!

The payoff for Ten Hag shouldnt matter too much, the cost for Amorim is decently significant but we have some space this year. Depends where we end up this season, if we can make some deep cup runs itll balance out alright.

@markloughran48279 сағат бұрын
James is much better company now that Ten Hag is gone. The last few months have been an utter doom fest. Let’s hope Amorim can do a great job. I think his biggest challenge will be to motivating this team to achieve their potential. The team culture has huge problems.
@mo-a-p986510 сағат бұрын
Thoughts on Licha? there were concerns of him covering large spaces in a back 3 especially during the phase when Ten Hag inverted Dalot. Does he still have the physically to play LCB in this system or his better as a CCB?
@Muppetiers10 сағат бұрын
Its a question I dont know the answer to yet. The LCB in this system is often not exposed in the same way, because they have more central coverage. And because its actually 3CB system, they usually have 2 next to them. It fullback even though goes high also stays wide so they pin the forwards back more, rather than tucking in and leaving the forwards high up.

Would love to see a video on potential transfer targets for an Amorim system, obviously complete guess work but its always fun to imagine who we could sign especially for this new era.

Most of the analysis shows that Amorim plays mostly through the centre of the pitch. The wide players used almost as decoys, holding their width during progression to spread the opposition to make playing through the centre easier. You suggest this isn’t the case and Amorim progresses predominantly through width. I don’t know, I haven’t seen enough of Sporting so will wait and see. Every KZbinr seems to be interpreting his tactics differently
@Muppetiers9 сағат бұрын
Depends on the opposition but I’ve watched loads of full actual games for years now. The primary progressions come through kicking the ball out wide to the wingbacks to get up the pitch. Forwards drop in but that is to usually drag defenders and play a one touch or simple pass out wide. Big switches of play in progressions also a hallmark. Direct passing through the middle can be done from certain areas but it is usually more a part of breaking a press. His attacking patterns are almost exclusively done through overloads in wide areas.

I think lindelof becomes a winner because he goes from a surplus player to a player who’s possibly a rotation player because of the position change.

Could be completely way off with this… but at times Zirkzee looks a little Berbatov esque technically gifted but looks a little lazy in his movement 🤷🏻♂️

Do you think Amorim will be good at profiling our players James? We need a manager who is able to see a player's strengths and play to them and we haven't had that in a while.
@Arg.Comps108 сағат бұрын
One thing i would say is that amorim actually likes verticallity and used it a lot since Victor Gykores signed for them so someone like bruno would help with that and as in build up he likes to bait the press there will be space for wingbacks or people like hojlund and rashy but its defo not the same as erik whos sole focus seemed to be try bait the press and smash it over but teams clocked and let us hav it in our own 1st phase as they knew our only real pattern we had under erik the last 18 months was going long constantly and our attackers r sprinting for them which was making them tired n couldnt run back quick enough as well as our defensive line was low midfield was wide open but amorims team acknowledge wen to press when they do go vertical and there defense pushes up to squeeze which allows them to maybe win it back or make the other team only be able to recycle the ball and not be thru in midfiled onot there cbs like eriks utd
@chalksmiles40362 сағат бұрын
Don't really see how you can find room for rashford in this but not bruno.
@snorkelofsanity10 сағат бұрын
Aren’t you worried about The Hole? Ugarte looks great but 3-1-6 looked terrible under ETH. Or does a back three fix that?
@Muppetiers9 сағат бұрын
The back 3 helps as the CCB often steps up. The other difference is the 316 only occurs in the final attacking phase, generally it stays as a 2 until youre moving the ball into the opponents danger areas.

Sorry james I think your trying too hard to make a case for rashford when you use words like pressing and energetic. On a consistent basis ITS NOT RASHFORD. I can't even say bruno is that guy.
@Danny-iv5uu10 сағат бұрын
Love your vids but your obsession with Maguire being good enough for Utd is bizarre ha ha. Not agile,no pace and zero scanning and awareness. Yes he wins headers but watch where the headers go. Attacking headers are like balloons,defensive headers just return to sender. Other cbs direct their headers to team mates. His passing stats are all to the left back and other cb boosting his stats. His wages are not worth the talent level and he has to go in the summer or winter if we can get in replacements for Amorim sustem
@Muppetiers10 сағат бұрын
I think he benefits by this because the CCB is not that important to be as fast or agile, I do think you underrate him, but regardless it was a footnote!
@Danny-iv5uu8 сағат бұрын
@@Muppetiersno I understand your point and yes it was a ‘footnote’. I don’t think Maguire is bad like most fans say,behind the scenes I’ve heard he does a lot for the squad and youth,very professional,but he’s just not elite talent and have seen too many average players turn him inside out when isolated. We need defenders who can handle one on one duels which he can’t unless the ball is in the air. I just feel getting his wages off the budget along with bringing in younger talent like yoro that actually belongs at this club. We are average at the moment so Maguire fits in,if we want to elevate we need better than him even as a 4th choice.lindelof Erickson Maguire Casemiro Antony malacia shaw all need shifting due to wage,age ,availability or level. Zirksee needs time as no pre season and a new league but he seriously needs to up his intensity and touch,really looks lost atm Keep up the great research👍🏾 so many fans and podcast don’t need to be heard pushing clickbait,false narratives or uninformed clueless pundits opinions as facts. I like you don’t just post for the sake of it,but when you’ve heard something or have detail to impart
