Literally changed my life. Left there and decided I would be a professional artist. On the flight back home I sat next to an artist who I followed on facebook and we had communicated previously but never met in person... and there she was sitting next to me I was floored. Sold art for a living for years

I don’t have an ‘eye for art’, but IMHO, his works range from pure brilliance to downright bizarre. A true visionary well ahead of his time.

What a beautiful video! Olé! The museum is a wonderful place to expand your mind, test your boundaries, and just enjoy and experience the surreal that is Dalí. Plus, along with the standard t-shirts and posters, you can find truly unique items in the wonderful museum store. Many of my Christmas presents come from the Dalí store.

A man truly understands "LIFE" when he plants a shade tree, knowing full well, he will never benefit from it's shade. My quote represents Salvador Dali as he planted many tree's for us to get lost in, another time, in another place, in another world. I suspect that like myself, he found God through science, with its inability to explain dimensions unknown to all of us. Somehow Salvador was blessed to paint and leave with us to enjoy this Eden of his alone.

"The Dali Museum: An Unparalleled Experience": The video introduces the Dali Museum as a space for exploring Salvador Dali's unique artistic vision and creativity. Hank Hin, the museum director, emphasizes the importance of Dali's classical training and imaginative freedom in his work. Dali, born in 1904 in Catalonia, was influenced by his region's spirit of independence and innovation throughout his life. The artist's fascination with science, technology, literature, and love is highlighted as key elements that shaped his surreal art. Dali's collaboration with his wife Gala and filmmaker Luis Buñuel is noted, showcasing his expansion into various artistic mediums during the tumultuous 1940s.
Wonderful. However, I prefer the Musee Dali in Figueres Spain, his birthplace. Fortunately, it is just over an hour from my home in France. It is a frequent day trip.

@Lea: I went there when I visited Barcelona. I absolutely loved it, espec. the Mae West room. I bought a fridge magnet of his painting of Gala which turns into Abe Lincoln. Ur so lucky to be within an hour or two of so many wonderful European cities and things to see. Merci beaucoup.
@mikejones-go8vz Жыл бұрын
I have been there twice on my two visits to Europe, definitely a highlight. The only thing, like the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, is that a lot of their famous paintings are in other museums or private collections, still both worth visiting, and Dali’s house in Cadaques.

When I went To Dali Museum, they have told me so many things.... And he was created by many frequencies.... about 7 different differences.... To have become who he is today.... As you see in these arts, too many of crossing visions....

I went to the Dali museum when it was in Beachwood Ohio. Dali himself visited the museum and there he noticed dead flies in the light fixtures. He was assured that they will be removed as soon as possible but Dali told them not to. He envied flies for their holoscoptic vision. So the lights always had dead flies in them. I wonder if this museum does this too.

The 18 inch thick walls might be strong enough to withstand a hurricane, but what about the GLASS? RIGHT ON THE COAST seems like a horrible place to stash a bunch of priceless art. Can we just move it to someplace like Phoenix, please, where it won't be in danger of natural disasters, flooding, boats crashing into the building etc?

When I studied art history back in the 80's, there were those who did not think Dali was a true artist, esp his later works which were often considered kitch by some art historians.
