However, since you seem to be speaking from a fan perspective, then God forbid fans should have realistic expectations. If you have all this talent and STILL consistently underperform, I'd say this is on the front office, one that Jerry Jones has kept a stranglehold on for as long as I can remember. The last time Dem Boys reached the Promised Land was 1996. I was still a child in my single digit years, and the Ravens, which I am a fan of, technically did not exist yet. I have a hunch on why the Cowboys front office has been pretty lackluster, especially the coaching staff: pride. Considering the reason why Jimmy Johnson left despite being back-to-back champions, it's not surprising that Jones only wants yes-men that will not challenge his authority. Is it any wonder why players find it hard to rally behind someone who either lacks backbone to call out BS or is constantly sucking up to the boss cause his job security depends on favor rather than actual talent?

It’s a repetitive cycle. The only way to stop it is to rip it all up. New owner new coaching new team and to somehow settle fans’ expectations. I think there are just so many factors that it cannot happen. If it does then that would be one of the biggest successes in sports to fix an unfixable situation.
