Dana has been a big influence in my American teen life....thank the Goddess for that! When 30 I opened a "new age" bookstore and lecture hall in Chicago, Healing Earth Resources, where I then carried her spiritual music. Beautiful.

The radio was on this morning and suddenly "Weren't born a man" catched my attention. What a smooth song, such a great voice and that sensual, shy sax... Luckily the reporter Susanna Vainiola said the same wish I have: this woman would deserve a program of her own. Glad I found this interview, it was very interesting. All the best for the year 2020!

I was fortunate enough to meet Dana, thanks to my sister, way back in the mid 1970s when she played at Salford Polytechnic. It was a great concert with first class musicians. Dana is still a great singer and a beautiful woman in every respect.

Dana Gillespie was featured in the Mail about her very racy and adventurous life! I'm looking forward to reading her autobiography! Her music career has been very varied and eclectic! Great interview. Thank you .

Like her version of the Bessy Smith song Empty Bed Blues , she deserves more recognition , like her down to earth attitude and honesty .
