The title of the song. I'm thinking about 2006. During the day, listened to an interview on NPR with author of Beowulf on the Beach. At night, could not sleep and was listening to a conservative talk show on my iPod so I could drift off. Then I heard the host say, "Stay away from wolves on the beach." I think I was awake most of the night.

Love this track (I love this band) but can't help but notice the main chord progression draws a lot from of "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" originally by Status Quo and covered by Camper Van Beethoven. I have found that while Dandy Warhol's are very eclectic and hard to pin down in terms of genre, many of their songs tend to have a highly influential predecessor at the core. Don't mean it as a criticism. I think all the great bands draw heavily on their influences while bringing something new to the party.

If the Dandy's are Appollonian, and BJM is Dionysian, then in some ways I think the Dandy's do win the agon. After all, the stuff the Dandy's got goin' on lately beats Anton Fjordson's strange and erractic output from Berlin. Can't count the Dandy's out, Man!
