The dangerous drivers of Exit 8C

Google Maps advises doing exactly what these drivers do, i.e. cross four lanes of high-speed traffic in just 350 feet of distance. They're probably just getting "tunnel vision" and mindlessly doing what their GPS is telling them to do, without thinking about whether it's safe, or realizing that their GPS will give them a new route as soon as they've missed a turn on their current route. Lots of examples out there of people using GPS this way. Whatever the cause, glad to hear VDOT is taking steps to prevent people from doing this.

My opinion, no thinking person would do this, GPS or not. You have to feel very entitled to do this.

Reminds me of the old on ramp from Old Keene Mill Rd to north bound 95 at Springfield in the 70's. You entered on the far left lane and to go east on the outer loop of 495 you had less than a 1/4 mile to cut across 5 lanes of traffic. I ran many accidents( some fatal) there when I was a volunteer with Greater Springfield/ Fairfax Co Sta 22.

If this road is present in India, you'll see this:- - Parked cars blocking the road - Over speeding Fancy Car Owner - Local Bikers driving in opposite lane Honking at you - A Panipuri shop - Drunk Guy sleeping on the Edge of the road. - Advertisement banners on both sides - Road Walker's And much more😂😂😂.

I'm a new driver and I got absolutely terrified by watching this video, I couldn't imagine encountering someone this stupid. Not to mention the weird road layout.

Staying in your lane is just not doable if it means missing your exit...even it's worth crossing multiple lanes while risking a major deadly freeway disaster. We all know how that is 😬

You are not. Just miss your exit and remember it the next time you have to use it so you can go to the left lane in advance. That said all the people who planned, approved and built this weird exit on the left side need to be fired and banned from practicing any civil engineering related jobs.
