Great video! Big Mio is awesome, coached me some 7-8 years ago, and I pretty much have not played chess seriously since for personal reasons, but especially his openings he taught still hold up so well- online ratings still somehow climbed 2500-2700 blitz/2400-2800 bullet using them after being inactive for a while. Amazing to see him sharing all his secrets for free with everyone.

Thank you Paul ❤️ Pity you didn’t continue to play chess, you were one of the most talented students I coached! Good luck in your career buddy! 🍀

I play the Taimanov often around 2000+ ELO. Thank you for dropping this nuggets of wisdom. I think it’s a nice surprise weapon for people who feel familiar with this variant

Hey Miodrag, thanks for the video. Based on my experience as sicilian 4 knights player the most challenging variation occurs is after 6.Nxc6 bxc6 7.e5 Nd5 8. Ne4 and we have some wild complications, e.g. Qc7 9. f4 Qb6 10. c4 Ne3 I wonder if you have some better antidote as you did not mention it in the video.

Hey Big Mio, I was talking to my coach Jack Rodgers today about you, and he described you as “pure class” from when he met you at the Olympiad. Thanks for all the opening secrets over the years!

Thanks to both of you guys! We had a great time in Chennai two years ago, also he is a great guy, very cheerful one and we had tough blitz fights on Chesscom through years 😃 Greetings for both of you! 👍

Yes... I saw the title and tought that this will bee an interesting video of newly found cobra spieces .. and in Europe (where cobras are not present!)... And in a second realized that this is chess opening video..which is great cos I like chess a lot.. so this was a win-win situtation, not a stalemate :P

Miodrags newest vid causes discussions in our german chessclub. It polarizes I guess because of its high fire and Passion quality. I was socialized as a typical German strong worker, obidient to the State etc. and learned to surpress my true Fire Nature. The psychological high honored value of his vids, that he creates a solid basement, on which everyone of us can let his fire and Passion burn.

For anyone interested: This is the Four Knights Variation, not the Taimanov.

Really nice! I used to play the Sicilian Taimanov, but I was getting lots of equalish positions in the club level and wanted to play for more wins, so I switched to the Four Knights now. I still play Taimanov occasionally, and I'm also playing Caro-Kann as well. This video is really good, complete overview of the Four Knights and I really want to congratulate you on this! Just wondering, could you potentially make a video about how to play against Anti-Sicilians when you are a 2... e6 player? That will be really helpful, thanks!

There's a good chessable course on the Sicilian Four Knights by a German author that thoroughly covers the Cobra 👌, but I like Mio's coverage far better👍👍. I like the way Mio explains the opening/variation in an easy-to-understandable manner and his latest course, The Wayward Queens Attack is absolutely fantastic!
