I think something’s wrong with the air. Every human is wearing a mask, and the animals all could be slowly dyeing. That might be why part of the game’s title is called extinction is forever, but I’m just guessing. Edit: So I just wanted episode ten, (spoilers) and a lot of people aren’t wearing a mask. So maybe the poor air, or any of your ideas isn’t effecting the people there. Also when Molly took off her mask she got sick so maybe if it is a disease it mainly spreads through the air.

I agree. From the way we saw the fisherman staggering around on the dock as if he was diseased to every human we encounter wearing either a gas mask or another type of protective gear, chances are the chronic pollution from the rivers, and the lack of animals that are left something is likely up with the air. Whether it comes from pollution or a virus or both, who knows?

I agree, good idea! And I’m thinking maybe the foxes are somehow immune to whatever is in the air? The foxes seemed fine, no breathing problems. But you might be think “but then where are all the other foxes??” Well, the other foxes have probably starved because their prey is dying from the air, or they have been captured and killed by the humans, it is shown that the humans must has some use for foxes, as the first cub is captured in the beginning

Considering the trash and the factory and the fire, yeah the air's probably pretty bad. The reason that it's called "extinction is forever" might come from the meaning that "endling" has. "Endling" means the last survivor of a species, so it's most likely from that?

Just a lil tip; the orange question marks on the map are events not humans! Close by humans don’t show on the map but when you’ve alerted one and it’s out of your sight it’ll show up as an orange exclamation mark ONLY on the actual gameplay screen. I definitely recommend going to check out all the events because I’m pretty sure they’re all important to the story!

Honestly the longer I watch the guy who took the cub, the more I get Death Stranding vibes. He's not hurting the cub on purpose, if at all. He's just carrying it along with him, and seemingly keeping it safe. For all we know he's doing something like catch-and-release, taking the cub and trying to find somewhere safe to let it go.

He probably just took it to his daughter seri runs into later and ‘ she helps the mother fox and she wants them to be free so she refuses the baby and talks about letting it go to the scavenger but he doesn’t later when Molly dies he lets the mother fox take the baby back and then the end is super super super super sad

it is so adorable to me how much Seri gets into character, she is so concerned about her kit's well being and it is truly charming. Also just a few tips Seri: Kits can swim, they can't get caught in traps like you and humans go for you and not your pups, hope i helped out a bit-!

In the demo, at the giant fenced in feild, if you got too far mother fox would be ripped up by rottweilers/pitbulls (i am not saying this is how all of them are, i just assume this is for an easy way to end the demo) and the demo ends. This is not in the official game, and i find it so interesting to see the rest of the story.

facks:the only think that can kill ur cubs are owl and hunger so dont walk and wait for ur cubs when the furrier is chaseing you! go to new places to unlock new skills! ur cubs will need more food as they grow. help the badger and it will give ur cubs food! try to go to events there are some skills at them! those are 5 facks that you can know ☺

Theory: Food or space was running out so humans tried to kill most animals in the world using fire. The fire destroyed the world however, and filled the air with ash and smoke making everyone sick and have to wear masks. The human who stole the cub wanted the medicine but the human refused to give the medicine to him because he needed it. The cub stealer stole the medicine and i think the sick human you saw could be the human who had the medicine and he was sick because he didn't have the medicine anymore. Maybe people stopped wearing the masks further on because the air started to clear (This is only a theory and i am only stating my opinion) thanks for reading!
