20:00 So I like having two Workshops early, especially for new sectors like this. It seems to help, two buildings can be constructed at the same time. Or one or both can be working on the roads, etc. Later, it can powered down as needed.

If you have a sector that can handle -2 (then -1 later) you can research and place down the CLS Centre then use workers first policy when you're opening crypods in that sector you will only get workers till you get to the second half or so of your pods.

13:02 I remember that you asked how they could fit more/mine more when becoming more experienced. In my eyes it the cargo ship pilot gets better at organizing the cargo bay, thus getting more stuff in the same volume. As for the miner and science ship mining/collection rates, they just have more knowledge of how to do it faster with the same machines. Also, did you notice that the models and icons of the ships change as they become more experienced. The most change is with the miner as far as I've noticed (extra drill arms) and the transport ship bottom changes a bit

Yes i have seen the ships get updated over time as they level up, the sad thing is as part of the press kit there is some high res images of the ships at various stages, and in game you just cant get close enough to really experience and value these small updates.

I got to chapter 3 and unfrozen 1k popsicles and they were all nonworkers! idk if I didnt read the planet and maybe somewhere it said these were all useless civilians or what but I am now restarting that whole chapter

Riot control in space... Turn off a sector's air, power, etc. I mean... It's not like they can really do anything about it like quit or go home...

just wanted to give an update on my trying to research everything in the prologue shenanigans after the stream yesterday. it took two entire days to research everything in the first two circles during the prologue, sadly tier 2 tech is locked behind the lunarclysm memorial tech, so you have to progress to the next chapter, big sad

Oh yeah a big boost, i was able to research almost all of tier 2 tech but 3, just from science points available from events

And you can stay in the prologue to stock up science in advance, it takes ages tho… almost 36k cycles to get 900 science (yes I attempted this madness 😂)

@@sydneylord I didn't start the game yet , saved the game with 900 science and didn't had time to play since xD But if I should guess... It could ruin the mid game fun where you have to adapt your sectors when you get a major research done. Late game should be pretty similar

Not sure what to think of this new system. The story so far seems to have kind of dropped off besides the miners pilot being killed. Can't wait to see how to balance the farms in sector 3 next episode

There seems to be an insane amount of saboteurs, even way out here. I think the real enemy of mankind is NOT DOLOS but we may never know. And how many are aboard our ship? Also, why would fanatics rather die and kill *everyone* AND the hopes of humanity?

I find it kind of weird you need skilled workers to do everything and anything. The highly educated medical professional with a cryogenics specialty who wakes up a non-worker or an engineer who happens to work in EVA bay town can arbitrarily be reassigned to permanent alternate life centre duty as a bouncer or something. They then spend the rest of the rest of the journey doing something literally anyone could do instead of using their specialist skills despite their being a huge population of presumably bored, depressed and possibly drunk “non-workers.”

I want to like this game, but there are some very hard difficulty curves that makes it hard for my playstyle - which is usually build up and then move. I took several tries, got the 1k people unthawed and then moved into the ice storm for the story and 3/4 of them died like in just a few moments, no indication of what was wrong. Kinda harshes your buzz on wanting to play this.

I find it too stressful that the hull is continuously degrading and you constantly having to repair it to keep the station in one piece.

Its actually not that big a deal, its a constant resource sink just like say biters in factorio they are a constant resource sink of mainly iron

Once you get a couple miners and cargo ships going with two steel furnaces - you sort of forget about it. You just need to make sure you don't run out when building new setups - always keep some reserves of Alloy and make sure to keep track of how much iron there is left in the system

Okay so the people get sad that earth is destroyed... Then they get sad that you are in the original solar system too long. Then when you leave they get sad that you are in a new system and may never see their home again... I wish they would make up their minds. I get the devs wanted to really put pressure on you to do things but the whole dead earth sickness thing just doesn't make sense how they did it... Sad if you stay and want you to leave, and then be sad when you leave.

Just finished IXION. For what I can tell you - THIS GAME HATES YOU! It hates you SOOOOOO Much. I had an several FU moments during playthrough and several questionable decisions were made.
