The Last time you were on, after I posted, I sat here an cried, because I feel your pain and loss. I feel so thankful you are sharing. And you were placed in front of me and give me the pep talk to keep going and do this. At one point in my life I weighted 265. I lost 125 lb. I kept it off and covid hit and I lost my mom and went into a depression. So here I am at 195. You are a blessing to me!

Oh Anne, I so feel your pain. My youngest sister was 50 when I lost her to poor health. She left 3 children behind. This past year, my 66 year old sister suffered a massive stroke. Then my brother died from a heart attack 6 days after his 60th birthday. I had to put my mother in assisted living after she broke her leg because dementia made it too hard for me to care for her alone. Couple that with 3 years of surgery on my jaw and having to go on a diet that seemed healthy but made me super fat, and I realized that I needed to get a grip. I live in the Adirondack mountains and it's a 6 hour drive to my sisters every time I want to give her husband a break. I need to have my health. I'm just starting this journey and it's beyond wonderful to have you and this incredible community you have created. I remember all your health issues from your prim channel and my heart goes out to you. Thank you for creating this space for us. It's filling such a void for so many. 💛💛💛

Oh my dear woman - that is a lot to deal with. I'm so sorry for all your losses. I'm kind of at a loss for words because it's just so hard. I'm so glad you are here. It's funny how we think we're eating healthy and then it makes us fat - something is so wrong about that isn't it? Sending hugs.

Thank you so much! It's only because of your 1st health journey video that I am 3 days into my intermittent fasting (18:6) and keto. I feel so much clearer in my mind. Thank you so much for starting this channel. I've spent the last 10 years taking care of family with cancer, stroke, dementia. I was literally mindlessly shoving crap and fast food into my body as an afterthought to sustain myself while making sure everyone else was healthy and taken care of. I gained 100 pounds in the meantime, and menopause did not help the situation. Thank you for sharing with us what is obviously so painful for you. You are an encouragement to me. I cannot tell you how thankful I am.🙏❤💕💗💖

I'm so glad. Thanks for sharing all that Susanna. That's exactly what we do - take care of everyone around us and then we go to pot and somehow we think that someone else will take care of us. No one does but ourselves!

I can feel your pain Anne. I lost my brother suddenly at age 59. He went to sleep and never woke up. My dad died at age 54 in a car accident. My very best friend of 25 years died two years ago. At my age (75) there are so many losses. When you have chronic pain day in and day out you wonder sometimes whether it is worth it to even live. I just feel trapped in this house with no energy to go anywhere or do anything. I used to be so active. I had an antique business for 25 years and was an avid gardener. 17th and 18th century antiques and decorating was my joy. The spark is gone. I have started back on Keto today. I am sorry to sound like a downer but I feel like you understand. No one else really does. Fibro is like the invisible disease. People think you look ok but don't understand that for most days you are just "faking it" so as not to sound like a hypochondriac. Thank you for starting this channel. It is so important to so many.

The food pyramid does not work! This is why so many people are overweight and in poor health. Thank you for sharing this very personal painful story about your sister. Your journey is going to help so many! This diet can turn back time with weight and feeling so much better with overall good health ! The medical communities solutions is mainly medications which will in time do damage to organs. This diet reverses many health issues! ❤ So happy Anne that you've joined the carnivore/ keto club!❤

So many people struggling, thinking if they just eat fruit all day or one sandwich they will lose weight. Many can't figure out why their bodies keep getting heavier, and this was me too! Before Ketogenic/ Carnivore lifestyle, I was so frustrated with my weight, and thought maybe because of my age of 55 or hormones maybe it wasn't possible to lose weight. The huge benefit is how healthy I feel now and weight! It works!!!! Anne, you will start to feel a hollowness around your ribs and stomach. All that visceral fat your body is now burning! Hello again dear Anne and thank you for sharing your health journey and sharing your story. We are so similar in our experiences. I lost my older sister at age 55 to cancer when I was 45. She left two children, still in high school while raising them on her own as her husband died of a massive heart attack while only 43 years old, ten years before her passing. I have half siblings all with cancer diagnoses and I too was diagnosed last year. I’m following your channel as my weight goes up and down due to stress. I’ve done intermittent fasting before with good success and from my readings from Dr. Mindy’s book - Fast Like a Girl - I’m on a roll again. I gained weight during the pandemic like many of us and struggling to get rid of the weight. You said it correctly - we are only our doctor’s assignment for the day - we ALL must be our own advocates - my primary doctor also put me on a second blood pressure medication which causes me side effects. I am determined to lose the weight so I can reduce the meds. I’m going to try to fast longer a couple days per week as it helps those of us with chronic symptoms to cleanse the bad cells. Blessings to you Anne - I truly know how hard it is to lose a beloved sister so young while grappling with health issues. You are an inspiration and keep sharing your knowledge with us - kindred spirits ❤

Hi Kathy - first of all let me say I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister and brother in law earlier. That's a lot of loss. And I'm really so about all of your cancer diagnosis in the family. Keto and fasting sounds like it works well for you. I hope that you can get off the meds as I have. Thanks for sharing so much - I don't mind long comments - I read them all and love to hear other people's stories! So glad you're a part of the tribe!

Sending you a hug. I have a similar history with fybro, chronic pain, ME since brain damage back in 2000. I gained a massive amount of weight (from UK size 10 to size 22)due to being bed bound, then housebound for a few years. Since then, since the medications I was given I've went through getting the weight off via a largely veggie diet... then gaining it all back because the medication has caused such intense sugar cravings. I went on a health kick a couple of years ago and stuck to 1,000 calories a day, then went down to 700. I didn't loss an ounce. I kindae gave up at that point and went back to living off ping meals and sweeties. Part of my problem is I don't often get the ... hungry. .. message. So I eat sweeties and biscuits out of habit or boredom. Listening to you, hearing your story, is making me think hard about trying again. I'm 61, I don't want to become even more unfit and fat than I am now. Thank you Anne. I am so sorry for your loss. I know there isn't really anything that anyone can say that will take away your pain. Just know you are building a community of people who care and are rooting for you.

Thank you. I appreciate it. Sugar and carbs bring on more sugar and carbs - they cause us to crave them and it becomes a vicious cycle! You can beat this my friend. After just 3 weeks, all my cravings went away. I don't even feel deprived because instead of chasing a momentary hit of dopamine, I'm chasing health and energy and that would be such a rewarding thing to have. We can do this! I'm glad you're here!

Right so easy to get off the wagon! Keto helped & intermittent fasting. Lost 35lbs. Need to loose another 35lbs. Carnivore sounds good along with Intermittent fasting. So heartbreaking about the loss of your sister. Big hole when we loose our loved ones. I have been a widow for going on five years. We were older now I’m 76. Can hardly believe it, I want to stay healthy & in control of my life. Sorry long story….😊❤

I'm 67 yrs old and 100# over weight. Everyone says they don't know why I'm over weight because I don't eat much. I have health issues and a very sensitive stomach to meds and and some food. I've had open heart surgery, for a repair, 4 hip replacements and a shoulder replacement. Both knees need to be replaced but I have Lymphedema from all the surgeries. Getting this weight off is my main goal. I'm gonna try meat/ low carb veggies and fruit and much more water than I'm drinking. But any helpful hints on this channel will be wonderful. Good to hear others stories. Thanks Ann, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your sweet sister.

I can tell you are looking better already and you’re motivating me and others by sharing your journey. I pray God will give you and your family His peace and comfort over the loss of your precious sister. I have been a vegetarian for the past 40 years and just can’t do a carnivore diet because the mere thought of eating meat grosses me out. I do eat fish, so I will have to figure some of this journey out for myself. Having good health is everything and you’re so right about Drs. only focusing on you while you’re in their office and once you leave you are forgotten. I refuse to take all this medication they push, so I’m trying along with you the route of a better healthy lifestyle of eating.

My last bloodwork was all within normal range. Glad I refused. Already on 4 meds as it is. 🙄 Looking for a new Doctor. It is a frustration to cook for others, food you don't want to eat. Good for you! Yes they have note it because they have a standard of care that they have to follow and are accountable for! I heard that it's set by the pharmaceutical company, don't know if that's true or not but I find it kind of alarming. Wouldn't be wonderful to get answers from doctors instead of more prescriptions.
