NIce video clear with good audio. Something though I wouldn't say is that all shock treatments lower pH, using liquid chlorine (bleach) doesn't affect it at all, sure when you put it in the pH reads high but once it's used it it goes the other direction and we wind up with zero change. As for equipment "rusting out", sure high chlorine is a factor but seeing 1000's of pools a year nothing tops low pH from people just putting in tablets, seeing clear water and thinking the pool or hot tub is ok. Oftentimes I dip a strip and it turns bright yellow. Ironically once we fix the water many people get algae if they don't maintain the sanitizer levels whereas when they were swimming in acid they never got it because I guess algae can't live in that environment. I maintain my inflatable spa (yeah, go figure a pool guy with an inflatable spa) with only bleach... I do perform both full and partial water changes on a regular basis. With such a small body of water, I'm amazed how much bather load affects how much sanitizer must be used. I generally dose mine right after i get out so it's ready for the next usage... I tend to keep my chlorine towards the high side around 4-5ppm and the tub never smells of it, if I have a lapse and the tub gets to where there's no chlorine I generally dump the water and start over. Has only happened once but it seemed even after a good shock the water just wasn't right after it getting cloudly from lack of chlorine.

Thank you, your video was helpful. We noticed a small leak underneath the hot tub is there a risk of us being shocked? I’m worried about the wires getting wet! 😳

It would have been nice if you had mention what exactly is the high level (#) that causes damages to the equipment. I'll assume it is anything over 5 ppm.

Hey if im trying to get rid of white water mold in a tub, is it okay to have too much chlorine for a few days?

Got a question regarding a floater with Chlorine pucks. I know you use bromine, but hopefully you can help. I'm able to keep my chlorine at a good level but my stabilizer keeps going up and up. To the point where it goes over the levels in about a month. It's my understanding there isn't anything I can do about the level of stabilizer aside from diluting the water but are there products for chlorine that don't have stabilizer so I can add it when needed and or does bromine tablets suffer from this problem? Thanks in advance.

Chlorine is bad for you and goes right through the pores in your skin. Leslie’s has a horrible smell in their store. Whether a high level one time or lower levels over many times. There has to be better therapy
