Incredible. Also funny how much Borat seemed to borrow from Tonoose.

Originally telecast on March 7, 1957. Hans Conried makes the first of many appearances as "Uncle Tonoose" (based on the real-life patriarch of Danny Thomas' family). Every time he opened hs mouth, he got a laugh!

Uncle Tonoose actually debuted the previous season in "Terry And The Sorority."

What happened to his wife in the series? I Thought Danny Thomas was married on his show.

His first wife died in the series. She was played by Jean Hagan from "Singing in the Rain". This was before he met Kathy, played by Marjorie Lord, who became his second wife.

Everything he just said to Uncle Tonoose at that table in this 1950s comedy would have to be said to every white American boy in the year 2024
