Yes! I used to pray on my knees, pray the rosary every night, go to church in hopes that my needs and wishes would come to fruition! All that gave great anxiety and brought me to depression when nothing happened! Got rid of all the crosses, rosaries and st Benedict’s prayers and medals! I truly felt LIBERATED and at peace with the universe! I’m like water now…light and allowing things to flow as it’s planned!

Absolutely agreed. Let it go and live in the NOW EFFORTLESSLY keep us rooted to the centreness of existence. Everyone will eventually come to the realisation that it was his own beliefs that he is holding on obsessively that is actually limiting himself. Unfortunately this also included the belief in god that we were taught to be fearful of because we were sinned by the belief itself. All those prayers especially for ourselves that we made are our very own feeling of inferiorities however when we pray or wish sincerely for others wellbeing, it is a feeling of compassion. To be compassionate and benevolent to humanity we required no belief in god but only our sincerity. On the contrary the beliefs in certain god and religion would limit our bias compassion selectively only to the people who professed similar faith which is itself a inner sabotage to our soul.

I have been living like this for 2 or 3 years now. At first, it was uncomfortable and the word ‘slacker’ kept coming to mind. These days, there is a clear difference to how I lived for decades b4. My life is so much less stressful. It has much more meaning. I’m still working on being chill and patient during the slow parts.

I used wu wei once in high school, not knowing yet about it ☺ I studied for oral semester exam. My professor saw me that they laughing with my friends in hallway and said: "Instead of chilling there, shouldn't you be repeating material because you are coming to my class in an hour? I said: I have done my studying, if I know I know and if I don't repeating now would only make me nervous. I would rather relax now. That day not only I aced my exam, but he was so impressed with my presentation that he gave me an A+ and he told other students... And this is ladies and gentleman how history is supposed to be learned, with deep understanding not just repetitive blabbering 😎

I have worked hard all my life to not be controlled by things or people. Interesting side effect...when I lose someone or something and let go, it seems more times than not to come back to me. Money, a car, my best friend, a whole house full of possessions I was sure I'd lost in a wild fire, I could go on, but I won't bother. Just trust the universe/tao/God whatever you wanna call it. It's aaaaallllll the same.

What if you lost your 28 year old child, I donated a kidney, it lasted 8 years, he had to go back on dialysis, there is nothing worse than seeing your precious child suffered, he had 3 brain surgeries, at least 100 blood transfusions, plates and screws in kners and one ankle, tonsils, appendix and gallbladder out, at least 300 blood tests, Gran mal seizures, in the ICU unit at least 10 times, a chest tube put in a pick line, boils that had to be removed by Lansing, numerous fistula's put in, my family, neighbors and church never helped, his father who abandoned the family and committed adultery never helped either my son died at the age of 28😢

@@shirasheartbeats He refused dialysis many times after he lost the kidney I donated, he hated dialysis, it is a horrible thing to do, the kidney lasted 8 years, and the hospital would not do a 2nd transplant because the reason he lost the kidney he got a brain infection and they put a shunt in his brain😥

I am afraid I do not agree with this philosophy completely. If there is a universal reason for us being on this planet then it simply is to enjoy the experience. There are billions of ways to enjoy this life. If one person finds enjoyment by striving to be and have as much as possible then that is what he or she should do. There is no one formula that fits everyone. If wu wei brings a person enjoyment in this life, then they should do exactly that.
