The Dark Crystal Adventure Game.

....So this is the Adventure Game for Dark Crystal, by River Horse. It's about what you'd expect. Not a Dead Game, but i have been a fan of Dark Crystal for a little bit...
NOTES:
-- the rule about item restoration i mention actually applies to legendary weapons. Normal items need tools, an artistry check, and i believe only restores one point of durability
-- I really wanted this to be a full-fledged proper RPG. Why can Japan put a full RPG into a novel sized book, but England cannot?
-- Maybe i should just make a B/X mod for Dark Crystal and call it good....

11:34: The Rules-Tinkerer in me is immediately contemplating adapting this to any number of other systems that may be a better fit, like Tunnels & Trolls, or Advanced Fighting Fantasy, or even Meadows & Megaliths. I agree that it was likely designed with children in mind (no problem with that), but older, more sophisticated RPGers will likely crave something with a bit more rules-crunch, while still remaining accessible. This is how a review should be. Plus, the game looks great. I've got Labyrinth from the same publisher, which share the same overall structure of one page-one location, and the quality is superb. I love the slow experience advancement because I don't like when characters growth gets important over the adventure, the game itself; the game should be worth playing because of the fun of role-play, advancement has become far less important to me after so many years.

You threw away the dust jacket? The dust jacket had a map and short cuts on the inside and was meant to act as part of your DM screen.

...yes, i threw it away. I don't use a GM screen ever, and i like the look of the leather far too much to not let it weather properly...

​@@DeadGamesSocietyYour copy, do with it what you will, obviously. I'm pretty sure it's not real leather though. Otherwise, the price point would be way above $25.
