Great scene. Alfred had told Bruce that he - Bruce - could be the one that everyone hated and distrusted by taking the harder path to do the most good. And here Alfred proves he can do the same. I wish I had a butler...🤔

A lot of superhero movies don't have strong character moments like this. The whole trilogy has strong characters and strong characters means strong story. It was so refreshing to see Alfred get some time to show the depth of his character instead of being the butler in the background like always. He's someone who lost two friends and had to look after their son his whole life. Nolan was a genius for recognising this in his story and showing how much of an emotional toll it's taken on him to watch Bruce out there fighting crime.
