‘Evil ones’ embraces all evil beings, whether they belong to the human species or to the jinn. Here the reference seems to be to both. When moral and material decline set in among the Israelites, they were overwhelmed with slavery and ignorance, with misery and poverty, and with humiliation and decadence. They were thus drained of all high ambitions and increasingly turned to magic, sorcery, witchcraft, charms and amulets. They began to search for facile means such as spells that would spare them hard work and yet ensure the achievement of their desired ends. At this stage they were misled by the evil ones, who made them believe that the mighty kingdom and astonishing power of Solomon were merely due to occult sciences and magical formulae, and that by revealing those they would pass on to them the keys to success. People were so engrossed in such practices that they ignored both the Book of God and anyone who summoned them to truth and righteousness.

someone tried to do magic on my family, after that my sister was born premature, but Alhamdulillah she survived, but after that one more sister was born premature too, but unfortunately she died, the magic was done by tying knots on my mother's scarf, well we immediately opened the knots after we saw it, but still everything happens by Allah's will no doubt.

I think you don’t have a misunderstanding of what a test is brother. It’s like in the army had very rigorous tests and that’s how the very few passed to special forces if we didn’t have those test than all 100,000 troops can call them selfs commandos and not just the 5,000 who passed. If Allah stoped all evil then what is the point of this world we all would be in the next world many complaining what did we do to deserve hell 🤷‍♂️

The angels were not the origin of magic. Yasir started his entire hypothesis of “origin” of magic on this false premise because he started from the later part of the verse while ignoring the first half. The verse explicitly states that the shayateen taught mankind magic AFTER the death of Suleiman, AND what was revealed to Harut and Marut. This tells you two things: 1. Magic first originated from the jinn, after the death of Sulaiman A.S. They taught people this magic and it became rampant among the jewish community in babylon. 2. To further test the people, Allah later revealed something else as well through Harut and Marut. Allah didnt use the word sehr when mentioning what Harut and Marut taught. The best explanation of what this thing was that Harut and Marut taught, mentioned in several tafaseer, is that the angels taught the people the reality behind the magic, since it was already around them. Therefore it was a “fitnah”. Since people could learn from the angels the reality of magic in order to avoid it and not fear it once they know how it works, OR they could start using it for their own gain. This was the test, which Harut and Marut warned people about every time someone would come to them. This also makes the most sense, because there would be no purpose for angels to come all the way down to teach the same thing that people are already practicing and learning from the jinn directly, as mentioned earlier in the same verse.
