The genocidal language of anti-israel protesters. Though i agree that israel is using excessive force against palestinians, and though i also agree that freedom of protest is an important right to have, the moment people are starting to shout these genocidal slogans i won't repeat here, they've become the enemy. I think we should recognize this fact: everyone with genocidal intentions is an enemy. An enemy of peace, an enemy of justice, and an enemy of free societies like ours.

I had a midwife tell me that was the case (I'd asked her opinion out of curiosity), as a doctor myself (who's just had a kid) I was disappointed to hear it. Chemically induced 'breast' milk using drugs like domperidone are not going to be the same - melatonin and cortisol levels change throughout the day in nature milk and I understand this drug can/does cross the 'breast' barrier and blood-brain barrier (all be it to a lesser extent than some other drugs used). A more ethical thing to do would surely be using formula - I'm increasingly of the view that if you can't have kids naturally - tough shit (IVF etc are creating a fertility time bomb).

Narcissism and fetishism. The ultimate misogyny, they can be better women than us. It is domination. There is a reason the encroachment is one sided. The number of women who fall for this is disappointing. To not even be able to see the manipulation and propaganda. And have now turned into predatory men's rights activists. Any discussion of about what women , or parents need, like maternity leave, have been discarded. Not to mention the men that go along with it. I saw a TikTok the other day from a man lecturing women on how they need to just accept it. So now we are being mansplained too that women's privacy doesn't matter as we have to accommodate other men. Or how none of them stand up to them saying delete all the terms, or women speaking out and being attacked. This is the actual internalized misogyny, a desperate need to be accepted at the cost to all others, that if the men act the same as women, that means we are biologically equal. True empowerment comes from accepting feminity as equal but different, and that it should be celebrated, not mocked. That it is actually being perceived as less and discarded by women, therefore actually confirming that they think men are superior. There is so much psychopathy now.

I turn it around on the atheists and say that if I wanted to participate in the sins-of-the father belief and be wracked with guilt over things I didn't do, I would become Catholic. It has also revealed how absolutely ignorant people are about history and culture. Who do the Scotts, Italians, and Irish owe a debt too? As egotistical as it sounds, I think for some groups it really is insecurity. For the guilt ridden, there is a reason they are vapid virtue signalers, because they are extremely insecure people with privilege they didn't earn and try to outsource it on others. Rob Henderson, a sociologist talks about this and calls them luxury beliefs. That is why they don't back up anything they say with actual action. It is actually completely self serving. My mother is one of these insufferable people. And of course is a hypocrit and extremelyinsecureand not very emotionallyintelligent. It is like child abusers who are active in a church community that are using it as camoflauge for morality they don't actually have. As Rob Henderson observed, these people will go on about how awful capitalism is and how much we should care about the downtrodden, and then go on to be investment bankers.

Do I blame the Arabs for the Silk Road taxations or the Moores/Barbary pirates from North Africa? All that shit happened well before colonialism or the North Atlantic dealings. I know for a fact my ancestors never owned or had anything to do with the slave trade, they were too poor tiling the Lords farmland. Even though slavery still continues today, irregardless, that it was the British working classes who did the upmost to stop the slave trade from happening. Why? Because we knew what it felt like.

A Dutch woman came on the radio (a government station) and begged everyone to only vote for pro-immigration parties because we might need to be taken care of when we're older. What she failed to mention is that 80% of the women of foreign origin working in elderly care have admitted to abusing the people they were supposed to take care of, or that this used to constantly be in the news until they just stopped reporting on it.

@Planeet-Long This happened to my gentle dad, who tried so hard to treat his caregivers politely. He was suffering from 'Parkinson-like' symptoms and cognitive decline. In exchange for almost his entire savings of more than half a million dollars basically just for intimate care in a supposedly nice retirement/nursing home in the U.S. over the course of five years, he got accused of racism regularly, ignored for long periods, not properly cleaned, and given a terrible death experience which I won't detail. Indefensible. Most of his caregivers were foreign.

Referring to ethnic minorities as the Global Majority is saying the quiet part out loud. Its admitting that the purpose of this stuff is to subsume any native culture with either cultures from elsewhere or some sort of homogenised culture. I've seen stuff where the Scottish educatiob system has been captured by this stuff and teaching Global Citizenship ha become an essential requirement of the teacher training. There's direct evidence published by the Scottish government of how this is generated out of a programme created by the UN with funding made available if governemnts sign up. The fact that people sleepwalk into this stuff because they think they're just being kind is scary indictment of human critical thinking.

Most follow suit and follow the leaders. Not everybody is nor needs to be a genius spear-heading the way for anything, although, most are talented one way or another. I recently was told by a "woke" fellow white person that wiping my behind with "white" toilet paper was an example of "heteronormative, colonial, transphobic, patriarchal, homophobic, white privilege - with a dash of white supremacy" - so I bought a used copy of Robin DiAngelo's book - "White Fragility" - and now I keep that right next to the toilet and I just tear out a few pages as needed - works great - AND - I feel more "virtuous" too with no real effort on my part. The truth in my “lived experience” is that working class black people and those of us who are working class white people seem for the most part to see right through this woke nonsense - and we understand that “we" - ARE NOT - “each other’s" - enemies - no matter how hard the oligarchy and their brain-dead minions among the 'woke' cult try to get us to hate and distrust each other. Woke humanists of Europe and America are delusional to think that the "global majority " are willing to give up their unique physical and cultural attributes. I think a point you’ve perhaps unintentionally omitted here is that for a few years Sweden took great steps towards achieving equity in the workplace, i.e. attempting to encourage boys to be nurses and girls to be welders (for example). At the conclusion of the programme it turned out that precisely the same proportions of males and females elected to do those ‘gendered’ jobs. So they’d had no effect at all. TL;DR: given every opportunity to have equal numbers of males and females in various jobs, it turns out people don’t want that after all. It turns out that there is a gender component to our choices.

They went into debt and only paid it off in 2015, so every tax payer until 2015 has paid for slaves to be freed. We spent what is the equivalent to millions of pounds to Portugal alone, who had one third more slaves than great Britain at the time, to buy their slaves freedom. Portugal reneged y keeping the money and not releasing them. They did eventually, some years later. Great Britain patrolled the high seas to outlaw the transportation of slaves after 1833, when they officially made slave ownership illegal. Read a book, my ignorant 'friend'

At least the UK has discrimination laws. They can try this crap on for size. But if it's fought against, from what I've read (Aussie) those discriminating on such grounds are losing. For example the last 4 or 5 women censured or sacked for stating their belief that women are biological females. It has to be made legally too expensive to play these games. It seems to be shrinking back to the usual suspects; local councils, public service, academia, charities. But if you fight each and every time, they will have no choice but to give it up because contrary to what they seem to believe, the law is not on their side.

The funding issue isn't restricted to d e I - our local council gets external funding from grants for things like public health research and installing pedestrian crossings / cycle lanes, and if they underspend they can often keep the difference. Most councils are heavily in the red so will take any free money they can get.

I work in the film business and I can say that a solid percentage of grants and funding for filmmakers here in NYC and out in LA (I live and work in post production there for 3-5 months out of the year) requires some focus or component of the film to “create positive impact and dialogue for and around BIPOC or marginalized communities”- even environmental funding for filmmakers are requiring this. Well, not so much “requiring” but more like “encouraging”, but we all know what that means and how it will weigh into your likelihood to receive a grant. The primary difference here in the US is that our government does not fund the arts as much as Canada and Europe does. Ergo, non profits horde and dispense funding and gatekeep what little resources there are in the documentary filmmaking community. Hence why the documentary community and the films they make are skewing SO progressive. Federal funding with this much bias would be under massive scrutiny and exposed to lawsuits on discrimination. Private sector funding and academia overlap in the doc world has ruined our industry. Its SUPER difficult to break into the club and get funding. I know jewish female filmmakers who are finding it difficult to fund their projects because they dont check enough boxes so they consider using pre-existing conditions to qualify for the disability checkbox to increase likelihood of funding. Its nuts. (Note: regarding the statistics on funding in the filmmaking community and its bias, I don’t have any data to prove this, only anecdotal from colleagues, friends, and family in the business plus my own 20 years of experience. The last ten years I have noticed these changes. I have also applied for grants for projects as well as interviewed for opportunities like jobs, collaborations, and programs and Ive seen DEI policies become basically ubiquitous) - just my two cents.
