i just finished the video but how are these issues unique to south Korea? i am sure all parents want successful children or to at least do well and i don't think many Americans work non cliche office jobs. i dont know i think your points do make sense but i dont get the x factor that makes korea more likely to have this compared to other countries.

like all countries have cheaper foreign labour and the higher paying jobs are for locals etc. so why is the suicide rate so high?

Its a cultural thing, if you had paid attention to the video you would understand that this culture is much worse in south korea, from all these countries in asia that had that kind of stereotype south korea is one of the worst ones in the pratic

@@ParSimpson many east asian countries have the tiger parent culture like china singapore indonesia japan etc. but the suicide rate in those countries is not as high as korea. i paid attention and the same culture works in other places but it does not drive people to suicide the same way it does in korea

@@verycool1833 It might be because the south korean market is totally dominated by large companies, so much so Japan wouldn't be considered that dominated by large companies in comparison, which makes this culture of working in large companies much worse
