All the people complaining about the bullet logic and physics seem to have forgotten that his guns are made from the melted down sword Excalibur and are literally magic by consequence. The reason the guns are so powerful and break the laws of physics is a heavy mixture of incredible skill and magic. Roland being a descendant of Eld with a high skill level helps with being able to properly wield the weapons to their fullest potential. Anyone who pretends otherwise forgets that despite being chambered in a .45 caliber equivalent, when someone other than Roland tried to fire it it nearly broke his arm. Magic guns that enchant magic bullets are shot at the magic man. Get physics out of the equation guys

ayo i got a question while watching this film. Roland said there are other worlds besides theirs. No one knows how many. My question is, are the gunslingers the only protectors of the tower? I mean, even if the number of the worlds in their univers is few or many, there has got to be more protectors of the tower than just them right?

No no no no no. The guns are special, but not magic. Roland is one of, if not the most skilled gunslinger ever. He never, ever did any physics defying trick shots. No. Just no.

@@chriss2122 "The guns in a fantasy epic about a magic tower that holds the universe together protected by 12 magic animals that are created from the great old ones is completely 100% accurate to physics and science" I hope you know how ridiculous that sounds, and you clearly took the series too seriously. A good 70%ish of the plot is powered by magic and mysticism. Yes he is a great shot, probably one of if not the greatest to ever live in any realm, he was insanely good even after getting messed up and becoming a low-key cripple. But it still doesn't change the fact the the guns still have magic infused in them. The Sword of Eld known as Excalibur is said to be a magic, at the very least mythical, sword gifted unto Arthur just like in real world legend. The sword was melted down into the guns. Ipso facto, the guns by consequence are magic as well if taken literally, which in this universe there is no reason not to. It's literally the whole reason they're special. Taking into account as well that it is indirectly implied the only reason Roland can properly wield them is being an Eld, you can safely assume there is some kind of magic at play. This is all also without taking into account that the physics of things from one realm don't necessarily follow the same rules of keystone earth just because they happen to be on keystone earth. Inference being that the guns and shots look physics breaking here, but are completely normal on midworld. To say there's absolutely no magic involved in the guns made out of a literal magic sword given to Arthur to protect and rule all the realms of reality is hilarious and kind of ignorant imo. Think what you want man, but you sound like you're taking a high fantasy series far too literal.

I've seen videos of artillery rounds getting thrown off course by fruit. Pretty sure telekinetically thrown glass shards could at least alter a trajectory if they were thrown at the bullet. Also, he's throwing glass with his mind, there's a lot of leeway that sentence alone gives in the laws of physics.

If you’ve never read the book series you don’t understand that Roland being white is a bigggg part of things. Suzanne (detta or odetta) doesn’t trust him and they have a sort of face off until he helps her see she’s schizophrenic and it helps her come to terms with her true self (Suzannah). Book: Roland and Walter have a conversation that spans years, if not decades, and discuss the meaning, desirability, and danger of the Dark Tower as Walter reveals Rolands path will be full of challenge and hardship which does nothing to deter Roland. Roland awakens to discover Walter is presumably dead of old age and goes on, not getting the justice he wanted but only strengthened in his resolve to find this mysterious Dark Tower of dreams. Well this movie is the sequel and the next cycle of the books, in which Roland and Walter pretty much did everything the same through every cycle. But this time since Roland got the Horn of Eld, things are definitely going to be different and the first step to achieve that is by killing Walter once and for all instead of succumbing to the conversation stuff again.

For any one those still confused...the first shot was aimed at the pillar, it looks like he shot directly at the villain due to the angle of the camera, then he fired the second bullet straight at the villain, then the scene shows the first bullet ricochets from the pillar and finally deflecting the straight bullet. As to why he would raise his hand to catch the bullet , that's because if he fired both shots exclusively of each other, both bullets will reach the villain, the villain however as I noticed has excellent focus on anything in front of him but fails to see anything besides him(as evidently when Roland shot the steel beam beside which fell down and smacked the villain on his side. So the villain knows the bullets will hit him but that's superficial, the true intentions of both bullets was to deflect off each other at the very final moment before he catches it.

It should be obvious what happens here: The sorcerer can sense the trajectory of bullets and projects telekinetic beams from his hands to slow them down and catch them. The gunslinger intrinsically knows how long it should take a bullet to reach its target vs. how long it's taking his bullets to reach the sorcerer, so he's able to internally calculate the rate at which his bullets are being slowed. This enables him to ricochet his second shot in such a way that it accurately collides with the first one and transfers its kinetic energy, thus altering the velocity of the first bullet faster than the sorcerer can react. The sorcerer ignores the second bullet because he is able to sense that it won't hit him. Then again the true answer is probably just mAgIc BuLlEtS lol.

Now that I think about it it would have been even more badass if it had been the other way around Roland ricocheted the first bullet off the steel beam, then fired the second one straight at the Man in Black to be intercepted by the first one. That would also have solved the problem people have with the physics.

People are forgetting they both a have powers and abilitys. Roland has super strength and gun dexterity and some over abilities. He is a gun slinger a protector for earth so he doesn't move like normal humans. The man in black is sorcerer and can manipulate objects around even by stopping bullets with glass, maybe he his magic reinforced the glass. People take things too seriously these days, and some people enjoy fantasy themed films.

@@Mr.Limekiller Let me dumb it down real low for you. The movies, Jurassic Park 1-3 are ADAPTED from the books Jurassic Park 1-3. Jurassic World is just a sequel. It can't be an adaptation because there was no Jurassic World book to adapt from. JW books might exist now but, they came out AFTER the movie (they are the adaptations). book --adaptation--> movie adaptation screenplay --adaptation--> book adaptation Stephen King never wrote a book 8. There's nothing to adapt. You don't know the definitions of words and you want to argue about it. Go argue with a dictionary. Dark Tower is an original screenplay based on Stephen King characters. It's also a sequel. It's not supposed to tell the same story as Dark Tower 1-7. King wants you to buy the books for that (more money). He'll cry all the way to the bank.
