In case anyone is curious, Roland’s guns here are a pair of customized Remington 1858 army revolvers. The custom features are the double action triggers and the swing-out cartridge round cylinders.

It’s even cooler when you find their origins. They were given to Arthur Eld by the creator god Gan, and as such are the only objects in any universe that can actually open the doors of the Dark Tower. Without them, it remains barred even to the _Gods._

@@MrValz0 No, I saw those, and that's still the problem; those are rimmed cartridges. The base of the cartridge is wider than the body; it's impossible to push them downward like that. Never mind it'd be almost impossible to load a swing-out cylinder like that, since its tendency would be to close. Unless Roland is a wizard; all things considered, this is a real possibility. They’re so much more than that: each Gunslinger is trained as harshly and painfully as possible to harden their hearts against any possible enemy, and they never, _never_ miss a shot. Roland is special, mainly because he’s the last Gunslinger, but also because his guns were cast from the iron taken from the sword of the legendary Arthur Eld; his worlds variant of King Arthur. They, and _they alone,_ have the power to open the doors of the Dark Tower. Without them, they remain barred even to machinations of the Gods themselves, meaning that not even divine command can break the locks. Only the Heir of Eld, wielder of the Sword(in whatever form it takes,) can set foot within.

To be fair midworld apprentice gunslingers such as jake are able to have 6 plates thrown into the air and to have all of them destroyed before they hit the ground. Considering in the books Cuthbert was able to hit 3 guys through the brain from a range of 200 meter or even thousands withing a span of 10 seconds. Those who are shooting at him didn't have enough time to take aim against a fully fledged gunslinger. Roland makes a remark to this when he's fighting a few cops and makes a comment on how slow they are compared to a midworld gunslinger.

Let it be known that vampires are super quick that it seems they teleport sometimes even though they don’t. Drake is literary Dracula and can not only move at speeds of 100+ miles and hour but he can also fly, has immense strength that Beats even Cap himself by 3 to 5 times. In fact not even the greatest werewolf could beat Dracula on his prime. Which by the way vampires live for thousands of years and never seem to age. Now Blade beats all of them with difficulty, but Blade is a force you don’t want to meet. He could literary take an army of well trained elite soldiers of let’s say 20 in under 10 to 20 seconds. Yeah blade is that fast. Think about the equalizer, but amped up and able to even walk vertically on walls and even jump from high places and more strength. Gunslinger guy would give him a tough battle, but Blade takes it.

There's not a bigger fan of any Stephen King book than I am, and I thought this movie was fun. Did you expect a 4,700 page 8 book series to be done in a 90 minute movie? It's basically like a movie version of one of the dark tower comic books that Stephen helped produce that other authors wrote. Lots of references that only readers of the dark tower would understand, too. I think it's great. The little smile Roland does just before he breaks from cover was fantastic, as gunslingers often smile while in battle because they love shooting.

I think a lot of people disliked this film because they were expecting an adaptation of the books instead of a continuation. My main problem are that the plot seemed rushed and the setting needed to be fleshed out more. If the film added another half hour of meaty quality scenes it would have been awesome.

@@joshuaellison6356 And that is an excuse for inconsistent beliefs. The over arching goal within getting rid of white washing is fairness and equality. You do not achieve either with preferential treatment, regardless of the reason. If you have an issue with white washing, you should have an issue with any other form of it. The anger you feel towards the historic injustice is the same anger you should feel to modern injustice. And injustice can be perpetrated against anyone regardless of skin color. Would have been great if this had been a series instead of a stand alone movie. Just think of how spectacular to see all the developed characters of Stephen King on screen: Susannah, Eddie and Oy. We could of gotten the Crimson King and mordred also. The movie had so much potential to be on the ranks of great films such as lord of the rings yet it was a disorganized disaster of a movie. I hope that in a few years we can get a redo of this so that I can have a Stephen King movie to marvel at because let's face it IT was not that good.
