They’re so much more than that: each Gunslinger is trained as harshly and painfully as possible to harden their hearts against any possible enemy, and they never, _never_ miss a shot. Roland is special, mainly because he’s the last Gunslinger, but also because his guns were cast from the iron taken from the sword of the legendary Arthur Eld; his worlds variant of King Arthur. They, and _they alone,_ have the power to open the doors of the Dark Tower. Without them, they remain barred even to machinations of the Gods themselves, meaning that not even divine command can break the locks. Only the Heir of Eld, wielder of the Sword(in whatever form it takes,) can set foot within.

I'm a very simple man to please, so this one scene made this movie a definite rewatch for me and I'm probably alone on this one. Well and I have a sweet spot for gunslingers.

the only problem i see is that he isn’t emptying his rounds usually, he was just reloading, a couple times it was shown he dropped the bullets but you know

I'd give at least 2 fingers to see a TV series of the books with all the characters and arcs.

Would have been a great franchise opportunity if they had just made 1 movie per book, or maybe a movie from the first three books then a tv series, instead of just trying to cram elements from all of the books into a single movie.

They tell me that Reed guy once wiped a whole building in the middle of Pacifica with nothing but a pair of Overtures. What chrome d'you need to pull _that_ off?

Not sure whether to like or hate those Remington 1858 cartridge conversions. He could've easily gone for Peacemakers.

Level 20 max DEX dual-wield specced Gunslinger in action. Probably has a few mythic levels too.

I actually liked this movie. I’d probably watch it again since it’s been so long but I’m kinda “blunt” like that. 9/10 if I can remember a movie title and it doesn’t put me to sleep I’ll probably be like “oh I like this movie”

I only caught a quick glimpse, but his gun belt looked just like the one that Clint Eastwood used in "Pale Rider." What's really cool is that you can buy those now.

McConaughey makes a pretty good villain. Too bad it's in this film.

Really loved the subtle detail in the movie…like if you know anything about where his guns come from you would appreciate the way he used them to parry the machete attack. I think one day this movie will be analyzed better by the fans and see that they did a lot with what little they had.
