One of the few times Lois was right in Family Guy was taking the cancer toddler to get treatment at the hospital when his parents refused to. Then she basically says “why bother praying to God if you’re just going to wipe your ass with his answers like doctors and medicine?” One of the few times she was based.

One thing that the video did not point out that I think is noteworthy is a handful of notable members... one of the founding members of Fleetwood Mac, Jeremy Spencer, left the band in 1971 to join the Children of God (now known as The Family International), and is still affiliated with them. Also, the Phoenix siblings (Joaquin, River, Rain, Liberty, and Summer) were all raised within the cult until they all left in 1978 (River and maybe Rain had already been born before they joined, and Summer, the youngest, was a newborn when they left). River actually publicly denounced them in 1991, two years before his tragic overdose, and three years before David Berg died.

This show knowing it’s backstory filled me with so much Dread’ Anger and Disgust, as well as Fear, at first I thought this was just a perverted kids show with a messed up comic as a sick one time joke by the creators of the show, and that was it, but I was SO WRONG, I can’t fathom that this type of stuff is still happening today to kids, my heart goes out to those children who had to suffer at the hands of such Monsters ❤.

Its easier to trick people who are desperate for some form of place in the world or to feel needed and with a promise of something better or a community of like-minded people, it tends to be religion that covers both of those promises and it's easier to join a religion than to find something physical and more beneficial to their mindsets. Short answer: you can convince more without a fight with religion than anything else.
