Now that you mentioned it I’d LOVE a video on The Saboteur, if PS3 tracked your play time I’d easily have hundreds of hours in that game it was one of my favorites growing up especially alongside The Darkness and Lollipop Chainsaw

I love your videos, I watch every single one & you inspired my joy for gaming again. For the past few years since 2020, gaming hasn’t felt the same to me, but watching your videos always sparks that desire to play older classics.

God I sure do miss this franchise. It’s sad that we might possibly never see a satisfying conclusion to Jackie’s story. Edit: Neverthless, it’s always nice to see someone talk about this franchise after a long time after it’s release, so thanks Habibi. 😊

It's a shame I really loved 1 and 2 and have been waiting for 3 over 10 years
@normalgraham8 ай бұрын
I never got to play the second one but the first was one of my all-time favorite games of the PS3 era. It doesn't really hold up but the world was so unique and weirdly detailed, and eventually the light-destroying mechanic became such second nature that it was hard to go back to games that didn't require it. I'd love to see a sequel or even full-blown reboot one of these days, but only if they put at least as much effort into the Darkness mechanics as the original
@wayofthemasterlord83578 ай бұрын
@@normalgraham it’s the opposite for me lol, I never got to play the first one but the 2nd is one of my all time fav games. The side content with the extra 4 character isn’t all that interesting for me tho.

I was first exposed to this game at a ComicCom, where i watched the demonstration of the combat (a slightly altered version of the outside the Butcher's restaurant). I still have a promotional handkerchief that was given to me. Fun fact, the developers behind this game eventually made the Payday franchise. To Kill a Mockingbird isn't the only public domain work that appears in their entirety. As you noticed, there is Flash Gordon as well, plus more I remember. I remember the demonstrator bringing up their is this whole system for including things on the TV. I remember thinking it was a neat system, but rather irrelevant overall. I remember Darkness 2 being just as good as the first, but having different strengths. A heads up, it did have an entirely separate, yet parallel co-op story, ala Far Cry 3. So you might need a friend or three to experience it fully.

God I love this game, It’s the coziest thing if you like that sort of edgy 2000’s goth type stuff. Just a bit warm sweater of a game that feels like something from a lost era. I also love that Jackie could care less about the darkness for most of the plot, in fact when he exit lobbies himself after that thing that happens it really really really made me love him as a character. I mean it’s freaking relatable and the dude certainly puts his guns where his mouth is or however that expression goes.

OMG THE DARKNESS AND THE DARKNESS 2 ARE CRIMINALLY UNDERCOVERED AND UNDERRATED!!!! I absolutely wish the series would have continued on... I think Fuzzy Slippers will enjoy the second game, if he ever decides to try it.

I don't think Stronghold was "underrated". Seemed it was heavily marketed and well known in the, way smaller, gaming community. It came at the right time, and people were excited for John Woo/Max Payne/Bullet-Time games. It was just underwhelming. Shorter story, more shallow gameplay, just lacking in most departments. The gunplay and destructive environments were lauded, even the limited, yet cinematic, environmental interactions. It was just a let down and thus quickly faded.
