Set in the last days of a dying logging town, Christian (Schneider) returns to his family home for his father Henry's (Rush) wedding. +Christ Is Risen Nah, don't believe him. It's not a shallow film. It's a drama, acted incredibly well, and written incredibly realistically. If you like Revolutionary Road, or similar, where it shows the devastating reality of every day life/relationships. It's not needlessly depressing either, I hate films that just make everything totally hopeless because they think it's more poignant.

Chelsea Woods the movie doesn't have an in-siding incident nor a protagonist and don't say the son was the main character, he wasn't, he just shows up and has no goals. Scratch that last thing I said, nobody in this film has any goals. It could have been written so much better but that is the reality of Australian films "pretty pictures, zero substance", 95% of Australian films fit that category.

He's right. Everyone's got a story like this, its as old as the hills. Yeah, I think I've seen this story a hundred times. Good luck to them, acting looks good, but I don't want to be depressed again. Aussie drama is good for depression. Was that a cello? Faaark I hear that cello I know if there isn't a doll that comes to life and stabs people its gonna be an art house movie made for the 10 people who "get it" Pass

The movie begins quite promisingly but then the overly-dramatic plot starts to snowball so that you just get beaten down with bleakness and annoyed with the pointless manipulation of yourself. I will say this, the acting itself was top notch, you certainly cant fault the acting!

That was too easy to figure out, they added too much of the dancing around the secret to not know what it is. I think if they hadn't centraled it around the dad, the wife, and the daughter and had maybe less of the wife and focused more on the son and daughter in a way it could've helped confuse the audience without spoiling so much.

Come on this is just incestuous, Miranda Otto played in the kiwi rendition of The Wild Duck, In My Father Den. Isn't too hard to have more degrees of separation, it is starting to feel like a franchise. Perhaps all of the British Commonwealth nations could do their own? Belize, Malaysia, South Africa...

This movie can suck my balls. The whole movie is a huge incoherent mess, equal to George Lucas writing the Star Wars prequels. The Concept is kinda interesting... maybe, if you gave it a huge rewrite and went with different themes but they didn't! I went and payed full price for this fucking grueling venture and all I got was a twist I could see coming in the first 15 minutes, and ending so poorly executed it made me laugh heartily (opposite of what the actual themes and emotion they were trying to convey) and overall cringe inducing, undramatic story line. If you were thinking about seeing this movie... don't. You will leave disappointed and angry. This is by far the worst movie I've seen this year... and it's only March! I was robbed by this movie, don't let it rob you too.
