I think people are upset because they put Dave on a pedestal and when they saw that he wasn’t the perfect specimen people thought he was it was disappointing. Did he make a poor choice? Yes. Did he hurt his family? I think that’s obvious. Are people valid in their feelings? Yes. He’s human. Even the best humans make shitty choices. Unfortunately in this case a new child has been brought into this. It’s not her fault nor his older kids faults. And they’re among the most hurt in this.

“Outside of wedlock” just means that you’ve had a child with someone you’re not married to. Dave did more than that. Yes, it is out of wedlock, but Dave was married to one and had a child with another. A child out of wedlock has been termed a bastard. We don’t really say that today, rightfully, because it wrongly stigmatizes the child - that kid has no control over the circumstances it was born into. Nontheless, don’t know what the name is for kids born to the paramour (the person you cheat with when you’re married). Grohl will not be too shocked by the response of people being disgusted by him. Cheaters are usually addicts - they already feel disgusted with themselves.

I'm in New Zealand and the Foo Fighters toured here 9months ago so there's been a ton of rumors and speculation and jokes going around about the baby's mother being from either here or Australia. But to hear it could possibly be a friend of his wife. OUCH. I had the choice to go see Foo Fighters or Disturbed. I picked Disturbed. Now there's a great band! This news just hasn't affected his family but the band too. Chris Shifflet has turned off comments on his Facebook account. The official FF Facebook account turned off comments, I'd say the rest of the band has followed suit with their social media accounts. Sad, really sad.

People say the ideal choice is to leave or work on your marriage. But, honestly, the set up is so in favour of men and their impulses. The arbitrary rules surrounding marriage and the social currency of it causes complacency and people just together on paper or one person hopelessly trying to keep the love of another. Many couples stay together just because they don’t want to deal with the ‘humiliation’ of separating and losing face in the community. I can’t imagine that on a celebrity scale. I’m starting to think that eventually most partner are gonna disappoint or embarrass you at some point. That they will miss the dopamine hit of attention from different people and the validation/distraction it can bring. They want their cake and to eat it to. Have a side piece and the social flex of being married to a beautiful loyal woman with kids that trust him.
