Dumb lecture to dumbasses who don't think. At 5:00 "So, despite this story having no real application..." as he then starts farting out about his silly big bang. Keep in mind this idiot is talking about creation. Again, CREATION. The silly big bang didn't create but the book of the bible that starts out with God creating has "no real application" regarding CREATION, his pathetic big bang does somehow. Stephen, shove this up your ass... Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it. We KNOW these laws. We have NO doubts about them. We also KNOW that the laws of nature can't come about without a Lawgiver, God. So if you want to pretend to be smart, please give me the laugh by giving your science how creation really happened by natural means. Also, throw in how we got the laws of nature, naturally.

@@2fast2block the Old Testament genesis is a great fairy tale which was passed down to later generations orally. The tribal elder kept a staff with notches and symbols carved into it that reminded him of past events. He then taught his successor how to read the symbols so that he could then pass the stories on in turn. With the advent of written language the tribal scribes made transcribed copies of the stories as they became too old and worn. The stories eventually were organized into books that were generally defined by authorship and were also translated as the language evolved. This process continued for thousands of years until the Semitic tribes eventually founded a settled government and scribes were appointed the task of reconciling the various copies into a coherent book by choosing the best interpretation of the often conflicting accounts. Of course each generation placed its own spin on any interpretation required by the changing language usages so that the stories would make sense to the current generation of readers. Changing political events often caused long delays in the rewriting due to periods of captivity and this also changed the content of the stories. Eventually with the spread of Christianity to Rome the Greek translations were gathered into the first bible of the holy Roman church. Most of the books were edited by the ecumenical council to agree with the current doctrine of the church and government. Many of them were excised completely because they disagreed with current doctrines. Still the Bible was continued by laborious hand copying. Eventually it was translated into old English and the hand copying of the manuscripts continued for hundreds of years until the invention of the Gutenberg printing press. By then Christianity had fragmented into numerous sects which had each assembled their own interpretation of the Bible texts. So as you can see the current bibles bear only a passing similarity to a notched staff. If you really accept that Old Testament as absolute fact, who do you think I consider to be an idiot? By the way I am a devout Christian whose faith is beyond question. I am also sure that you have no idea how God made the universe or mankind and if you say that the Big Bang or evolution are impossible then I say to you “don’t try to tell God what He can or cannot do”

@Aluminata8 жыл бұрын
What I am not quite able to wrap my head around is if we look back at proto galaxies and see them as they were 12 billion years ago ; we cannot see them as and where they are now- should they not be all very closed together - having only just departed from the original central Big Bang event its self. How can they be seen in opposite sides of the sky and in fact, in all directions around us. How has the original center come to appear as the peripheral shell? Like wise the CMB. How is it all around us if we are seeing it as it was near to the beginning of time and space?

Ralph Latham Look up something called as Cosmic Inflation
@jamesfraley27157 жыл бұрын
Ralph, I understand it is difficult to "wrap your head around" the theory of cosmic inflation. This is concept that many people grapple with, but I will try to explain how better to visualize this notion of expansion after the Big Bang. The reason it is so difficult for us is we comprehend explosions as blowing outward - and then - into space. In the case of the Big Bang, and expansion, you have to consider that there was originally nothing - no space for the universe to blow into. You could think about the universe as beginning as a flat plane with no up, down or left, right and no space around that plane - impossible it seems, but true. After the initial event, space rapidly spreads out in all directions, but from no real fixed point in time or space. What we consider space - as an empty void - is not really a void, but the outcome of that expansion as space is full of energy and matter. Space itself is not nothing, and the medium of space is what expands between the galaxies (dark energy). The initial Big Bang event happened some 13.8 billion years ago, so, the light we observe from these early galaxies, and the background radiation, can be seen on the outer edges of space itself because it expanded. All of the matter and energy of our universe is on the inside and the outer shell is where we see the background radiation. Those proto-galaxies you mention, formed around the same time as ours - but as the universe expands - or as the space between galaxies expands - we see everything around us from the inside of an 'inside-out' explosion. Those proto-galaxies ARE NOT closer to the center, we only view them at an earlier time in the development of the universe. I will try to give an analogy that may help here. For instance, If there was a civilization on a planet in that proto-galaxy, and they were looking through a telescope at our Milky Way galaxy, the observers on that planet would view us as a proto-galaxy - no closer to the center, but still during our early stages of development - some 1 billion years after the Big Bang. Think about it like a balloon that begins completely flat - so flat that you cannot see any edges or top - bottom view. This microscopic balloon is what exist before the initial event - then it suddenly expands. The skin of the balloon continues to inflate as material (energy, electrons, etc.) expand inside. I hope you are beginning to see that the center is not a fixed point - it is, in fact, on the outside of the balloon. The material of the universe is viewed from observers who are inside the balloon, and as we look through telescopes in all directions, we see the outer edges of this event. So, the universe does not have a specific center, because there is no center on an edge. Can you find the center on the skin of a balloon? No, the center has become the edge of that 3D space. I know this is incredibly long, but I hope this helps...it is a extremely difficult concept, one I think astronomers still have difficulty explaining to laymen because of the terminology - "The Big Bang." This is a misnomer and creates false imagery of a bomb exploding - and it does not really help us understand that the origin of the universe was actually the creation of all space and time.
@peterwestberg98947 жыл бұрын
They don't understand your question, but I do, because I've thought about this too. It's kind of weird if you think about it, almost like a paradox...we're looking back to when the universe was really small, when all galaxies were close together, almost on top of each other, but from our perspective, they're all far apart, separated by billions of light years...how can this be simultaneously true? It is true because the part of the universe we come from was smack dab in the midst of all those galaxies and we've all kept our relative positioning for billions of years as they've all receded from us and vice versa. So basically, if we could somehow look through the veil of *whatever* blocking us from seeing the big bang itself (the horizon), we'd see some kind of infinitesimal dot smeared out in all directions.
@beaconrider6 жыл бұрын
Because that is how rapidly the expansion took place.

If stuff (galaxies, etc) are moving away from each other, why do astronomers say that The Milky Way and Andromeda are moving towards each other and will collide some time in future?
@Aluminata8 жыл бұрын
+hawkeye0248 It is because they are in a gravitationally bound cluster of galaxies, known as the local group. There are many such bound clusters swirling around each other which are collectively rushing away from other clusters.
@fueronporquetenianelsaturn96328 жыл бұрын
So the galactic's clusters are all moving away?
@michaelcrawford3108 жыл бұрын
How did they become gravitationally bound if moving away from each other then? Why is the Moon moving away from Earth if hooked by gravity. Same issue with planets around the Sun.
@Aluminata8 жыл бұрын
Space is expanding everywhere. Where objects come within the gravitational effects of each other they began moving toward one another just as an apple moves toward the Earth when it falls. The space between the released apple and the Earth are expanding but at this scale the effect is almost infinitely small and unmeasurable. The Moon is escaping from the Earth Moon gravitational bond. If the earth were a solid ball of rock the moon would not escape -but the trillions of megawatts of energy required to move the liquid oceans through their tidal patterns robs some of the orbital energy from the Moon. If the Earth had no Moon - all the Uranium, fossil fuels, solar and wind power harnessable on the Earth would not be enough to reproduce a minute fraction of these tidal effects.
@per-anderspettersen59028 жыл бұрын
i'm not a astrophysicist, but the local group have probably "always" been gravitationally bound. The moons orbital speed on the other hand is accelerating because the earth is rotating quicker than the moon orbits, and since the tidal bulge inflicted on earth by the moon "deforms" the earth, this gives the moon a gravitational tug in the direction of the earths rotation, angular momentum and whatnot. As for the planets around the sun, i haven't heard about any notable "wandering", I've heard the solar system is pretty much stable, unless you're locking forward several billions of years, in that case the sun would have gone red giant and scorched or eaten the earth, and wee would hopefully have moved on by then.
@JungleJargon2 жыл бұрын
It just dawned on me the other day that a thousand years and one day happen at the same time in different places in the universe. It's simple (observed) general relativity. Time slows down and distance contracts because of gravity where there is a lot of matter. Conversely, time speeds up and distance expands where there is no matter in outer space. This eliminates the need for dark matter since time speeds up in the outer spiral arms of a galaxy where there is not nearly as much matter. It eliminates the need for dark energy where space expands in outer space where there is no matter. Another result of general relativity is that billions of years pass by in outer space (13 billion years) at the same time as thousands of years pass by where we are inside of the Milky Way galaxy. ...! Conclusion: The time it took for Creation and since Creation in the Bible is absolutely true!

The answer is no. Shoving a lot of matter into a black hole doesn't affect the quantity of matter in the universe or the gravity associated with it. It just changes how that matter is distributed. Also, the expansion of the universe appears to be taking place everywhere, from the cores of stars to the emptiest regions of space. Gravity doesn't slow down the universe's expansion, it only determines whether bodies of matter remain gravitationally bound to one another or expansion carries them ever further apart.

🌍 Because time, and as we know it, is irrelevant to Elohim, Creator of the universe, man is incapable of arriving at a particular age of the universe; in our reality if you will, time is not a reliable means of measuring how old our universe is; again, because our universe wasn't created INSIDE OF TIME. To put it another way... man's scientific model for measuring time, therefore, the age of the universe, is created from out of a particular set of rules which include time; a particular paradigm that man can "relate to," and believes he is accurately MEASURING WITH. And, according to THIS dimension...he'd be right. HOWEVER, the universe wasn't created inside this three dimensional realm. Therefore, the calculations derived therefrom, are obsolete. (in regards to how old the universe is). Thank you for sharing nonetheless! 😊 Elise, aka Godgirl

90% of the worlds population who believe? You people are so desperate to give yourselves legitimacy there is no level of deception that you're not willing to indulge in. You're a narrow minded and rather disgusting group of people.
@TheEvilmooseofdoom6 жыл бұрын
85% of people believe in something. Sure.. in any of a half dozen major religions and 200 some offshoots. That's the voice of reason and absolute truth alright. You're still weakly grasping to legitimize yourself. You may PRETEND that you're unified but that's just another lie you like to tell. You're the most intellectually dishonest group that exists.
@TheEvilmooseofdoom6 жыл бұрын
My lack of beliefs lead me towards anger rage etc.. You do like to make bold conclusions based on no evidence other than what you 'believe'. I believe it therefore it's true. The fail logic of theists everywhere. Again the hallmark of intellectually dishonesty. People also used to believe thunder was the wrath of gods, doesn't make it true. You cling to your security blanket and indulge in all the self deception and dishonesty that it requires of you. You can even keep judging others like you somehow hold the high ground believing in magical sky beings. A framework of lies and self deception that you cling to because it's comforting.
