Rhodes vs Rollins will be one of the defining rivalries of this era. They're both great in the ring and put on banger matches. The summer 2022 HIAC match is genuinely one of the best matches I've ever seen. It was cinematic and perfectly executed in spite of Rhodes' torn pec. I think Rollins will be the next logical contender for the WWE Championship belt down the road when he returns. He'll finally get a win over Rhodes. He was the unsung MVP of WM this year even though Rhodes, Reigns, and Rock were the obvious headliners. He wrestled well in 2 matches and got a beatdown in the last one. And he did it all with a bad knee.

An example of a Butterfly Effect that's more of a "What if it DID happen?" for WWE would be if CM Punk had been added to the WrestleMania 29 main event title match. Had Punk been added to Cena/Rock II just consider all of the short & long-term questions. Would Rock have been injured, which resulted in the movie Hercules needing its production delayed & apparently costing it millions in production? Would Punk have still held a grudge against WWE's booking come the start of the next year? Hell, who would have Undertaker faced at Mania 29? But it's the second question that's the real kicker. If Mania 29's main event had been a Cena/Rock/Punk triple threat would Punk have even left WWE the following year due to his feeling misused? Would he have simply been willing to take time off & heal his injuries in early 2014, since he got the Mania main event he had always wanted & was now more willing to just do what was asked of him? Or would he have been fine with doing the planned Triple H program for Mania XXX? If we got Punk/HHH at XXX then what would have happened to Daniel Bryan eventually winning the World Title in the main event of that same show, since that's what Triple H moved over to after Punk left? Would the Yes Movement have been as powerful if Punk was still around, & would have Daniel Bryan become quite as beloved by the fans? With 10 years happening since Punk's initial departure, who knows what else could have been different (Would AEW still had been founded? Would Punk have had that infamous AEW run?)... and it all come back to if CM Punk was allowed to main event WrestleMania 29 alongside John Cena & The Rock.
@loregasmic10 ай бұрын
That triple threat was such a missed opportunity it's insane. Their stories were intertwined for 2 years, even when Punk and Cena were feuding in 2011 they talked about him many times. Cena could have pinned Rock winning the title and keeping Punk strong. He could've continued counting his days as champion TIL THIS DAY.
@aryanverma834410 ай бұрын
If Punk had HHH then another thing they should've done was having DB win Royal Rumble then Daniel Bryan can face Orton at the main event and then maybe have Brock eliminate Batista or vice versa and get beast vs animal at wm 30, Bray Wyatt can pick Cena or can fight Taker eventually being the one who broke streak or maybe a Cena vs Taker at WM dream match. Even though WM30 was brilliant but having this matches would've made it as good as WM

Here's what I think Cena still walks out of wrestlemania as WWE champion but drops it to CM punk one month later cena goes to fight for the world heavyweight championship over on smackdown. Rock is on hiatus until SummerSlam 2013 Rock vs punk 2 happens and punk retains the WWE championship. Next month Daniel Bryan becomes WWE champion but gets cashed in on by randy Orton. Cena vs Randy vs Daniel Bryan vs Triple H for the WWE world heavyweight championship happens at TLC 2013. Both world titles are unified until after SummerSlam 2014.

One of the unmentioned but also most subtle effects of that altered main event... due to Kevin Owens being put in that main event with Brock, who had prior to that been going after Sami, Kevin cut a promo where he proclaimed he would take out Brock for Sami...... something that was completely unprompted and made no sense because they had just gotten finishes with a major feud in 2021 that they had never come back from. But that one comment essentually swept all that hostility under the rug and, when Sami did enter into the bloodline months later, the clean slate that the KO comment gave set up the episode of the KO show that would lead to the Sami and Kevin reunion storyline. If Kevin Owens hadnt been in that main event at Day One, and Kevin had never made that comment about being soulmates with Sami Zayn, then that is another way that the entire storyline that led to WM39's main event may never have happened.

All the popularity from the Rock, #wewantcody, Sami Zain, the USOs and the gigantic payoff of having Cody beating Roman at the second try with all the other „heroes“ who couldn’t get the job done, celebrating with him, all of that wouldn’t have been possible to this day. The renaissance era would‘ve likely began much later if it wasn’t for that one covid incidence. WWE would have improved non the less without Vince but HHH would have to craft storylines and characters much longer to show us long term story telling if it wasn’t for Roman already holding that titel so long by the time he got in creative charge. Therefore one could say that heelturning reigns as well as signing Cody where the last great and integral moves of the late Vince era.

I don’t think Roman had covid. Ever since this night, I always thought they just had Roman pretend to test positive for covid because they decided not to go with the original plans. But who knows. It’s not for us to know

You're Delusional 😂 🤦♂️. Doctors check every single WWE employee as soon as they walk through the door. The doctor checked Reigns, found out he had COVID without symptoms. He was Asymptomatic, meaning he had but didn't show signs of COVID initially. So they sent him home. If you're saying he didn't have COVID , then you're accusing the doctors of Medical Malpractice 🤦♂️.

Bloodline story is ok for modern wrestling, but best storyline lol... Kane and Undertaker beats that easy. Not to mention the kayfabe and hardcore era.

It would be crazy if Roman actually got COVID, but Roman's body is immunocompromised due to his luekemia, and Roman showed up the very next Friday looking 100% healthy, which is why I think Roman was NEVER positive for COVID-19, but rather Vince McMahon having one of his regular last-minute-booking decisions. Vince realized in his own mind, and properly also with guidance from Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, that it would not be smart to have Roman Reigns LOSE the Universal Championship in a B-level PLE, only to win it back at Wrestlemania, ending an around 500-day title reign. And since Vince has done nothing other than push Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns to the main event scene, squashing everybody else, it wouldn't make sense to not have Roman vs Brock for one final time at Wrestlemania to unify both titles.

Now we have more things getting changed like The Rock vs Roman Reigns being scrapped and Rock turning it into the Final Boss

Also with all these occurrences one can't help but wonder if in another turn of events does Vince remain as chairman?🤔🤔🤔🤔

I think people forget that AEW existing also plays into butterfly effect...if it weren't for AEW we not have gotten Cody and cm punk return

In my opinion the biggest butterfly effect in wrestling is, what if Eddie Guerrero never died ?.

Hot take but I think WWE got cold feet about Roman dropping the title. I think the original plan wasn’t for Roman to have the next multi-year long reign. I’m not going to say that Roman didn’t contract covid but I’m also going to say that I think the truth was stretched. If WWE cancelled the match last minute without reason, they would’ve got slander for it. Their brand new Day 1 PPV concept would have been ruined less than 4 hours before the bell rang. That being said, here’s my opinion on what happened. 1. Brock was promised a title win. With Roman pulling out, they inserted him into the 4 way to win the WWE title. Brock knows the business changes consistently but he also was under the impression that he was winning a belt that night. Brock always does good business for and with the WWE. They don’t want to ruin that relationship. 2. WWE acknowledged the fact that Reigns could be their next record breaker and since they were already onto a year-plus long reign, why not continue it. He was hot, he was selling merch, and for once, he was cheered (mostly). 3. Seth Rollins was supposed to win the WWE Championship, right? How do you replace something of that magnitude? Well, I don’t know how good the relationship between Cody Rhodes and WWE was in January 2022, but giving Seth a showcase match against a returning Cody Rhodes might just be enough to satisfy the Visionary. 4. Like I said earlier, Day 1 was supposed to be a regular show. It was advertised to return to Atlanta for January 1st, 2023 but got cancelled. Instead, they gave the ATL a Holiday Tour show on December 27th, 2022. With all the hype and media surrounding Atlanta and Day 1, they would’ve been off to a bad start had they canceled the main event without reason.

Bruh Reigns was Sick that day. WWE doctors test EVERYONE as soon as they walk in 👍 They checked Reigns and found out that he had COVID without showing symptoms, so they sent him home. Vince McMahon is not the kind of person who promises a big match then bails at the very last minute. 😂👍

I’m sorry but Vince McMahon is 100% to blame for all the negative things of this butterfly effect! Big E on the shelf, Roman holding both titles hostage AND being a part timer, spamming Brock vs Roman constantly and making WWE very stale in 2022 and it’s been great watching WWE with him gone now

I stopped watching wwe after Roman got sick and when they were releasing everyone in 2021. I missed all of this 😢 Fiend return, Braun and Big E finally winning, the best version of Roman. I had to sit through the 2017-2019 horrid of Raw. How did it get so good after the pandemic?! Also this type of video is amazing and even caught me up to speed.

A butterfly affect that is will likely still go on considering it t affected superstars such as Seth Rollins, Brock lesnar, the bloodline, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and future generations of superstars.

Honestly, I think this moment saved WWE. Yeah, there were more factors leading up to why WWE is back to peak form, but I dont think the "Finish The Story" storyline wouldve been as impactful as it was, and that story got a lot of people back into WWE I know that Edit: Also, I think Cody probably wouldve ended up the same way he was in AEW. He may have not been injured before Hell In A Cell (whoever he'd face, idk), and his character under Vince may have gotten so stale that the WWE Universe may have turned on him and killed any momentum he had coming in
