Don’t really need Vinny. He’s a big body, but he doesn’t help with his untimely penalties. Purely magical.. words do not really exist in terms of were this Oilers team is at in all time history of any club, team, or whatever you can put a group of people not only achieve a lifelong dream but to do it in this fashion and completely dump the entire state of Florida up off there pedestal and elevate themselves out of a hole so deep that absolutely nobody was expecting them to come out of. With the odds being less then 4% and lets be real here because im a die-hard Oilers fan and ive waited half of my life for shit like this to go down and not in a million years did i think it was gonna happen anywhere near the way it has.. if they pull it off this is gonna change the life's of not just people directly involved with either franchise but , as a super fan im absolutely in euphoria goosebumps galore and i don't even know how I'm gonna sleep over the next few days.. now i can say this though Austin hockey in game 3 going into The third period after totally one sided hockey puck luck happening for the opposition and myself i was in an utter state of shock watching the chance of a lifetime slip away from this OILERS team that deserved to be in a way better position then they found themselves.. like it was absolutely heartwrenching to watch.. now i can see if Florida was actually the better team i would have accepted my team's fate and just put this year's progress of making The Cup final and behind me and chalked it up to expirence and went back to the same mindset i have for every failed attempt at a cup... But Edmonton was the better team and for about 6 of them first 8 periods.. so i was heartbroken for our team and ultimately anyone who has any thing to do with Oilers..... But they woke up and since then haven't even really looked back and they have been absolutely bin in full Beast mode and pulled off 75% of this unthinkable task off.. with just one more win to get yeah it will be the hardest goal this group of boys will ever have achieve but as Skinner said if anyone can do this its the OIL... JUST BELIEVE MY FRIENDS BELIEVE NOW BELIEVE FOREVER.. and regardless of the games outcome they have perminitly cemented there legacy in not just the modern day but the entire history of hockey.. i can easily say 2023-24 Stanley Cup finals have already been one for the ages.. BRING HOME YOUR SIXTH STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONSHIP AND Float above the world and be proud of yourselfs for the craziness you have already achieved.. please win this for all of Canada

Just to add, another thing that i dont think gets talked about a lot is the travel. I just think the panthers could be fatigued. We all know that florida to edmonton is the longest travel for both teams, however I do think that the oilers are more equipped for longer travel because if you do live in edmonton, just to travel to other cities takes very very long. They're more used to it and Florida isnt. Im not saying for sure that it is DEFINITELY the factor, im saying it COULD be one of the factors of their struggle.

Oilers will win this and get the 6th cup for the franchise. Team sticks together for next season just my opinion

@shwnbur774 ай бұрын
What’s weird is that the game 3 loss is when the momentum changed. Even in a loss the 3rd period of that game the Oilers started to find themselves. They figured something out in the 2nd intermission of game 3 and have been the much better team since. So even though they went down 0-3 they were able to feed off the 3rd period of that game and have not looked back since. In game 7 I think the 1st goal will be critical. The team that scores 1st will probably win the game. Florida has to score 1st to stop momentum.

I realize it's 82 games plus the playoffs and these players are creatures of habit. That being said, watching the game FL is predictable when in the O zone wanting to just cycle the puck. Watch EDM throughout the game, they just anticipate the cycle game, aka take the step to the boards before the puck goes there. FL, IMO needs to change this and take it to the net or just put shots towards Skinner. I would also like to see different dump in's. Sometimes put the shot/dump in towards Skinner. Try to get O zone face offs or a mistake by Skinner. Again the predictability of FL on the the dump raps have the Oilers D men below the dots ready for that. Lastly, I would like to see the PP go to a 3rd/4th line mentality aka outwork the PK and keep it simple. No fancy plays and have a shooting mentality. All in game 7. FL won 3 games, no reason a 4th cant be won

I'm an Oilers fan but Game 5 was stolen by the refs for Edmonton. Worst calls ever, the first one called was on Barkov for nothingness because he was about to score a goal. The next one because Nikola was boxing out an Edmonton player, of which was NOT a penalty at all. They called it just because the Edmonton guy fell down...apparently, it's a mystery. Then Tkachuk was seriously tripped bad and they call embellishment on Tkachuk. Then Okposo slightly had a soft touch near the Edmontons players hand and they called a slash on something not even close to a slash. The refs have been one-sided, for Edmonton, in every game. Panthers game 6 are worried about playing their game because the refs are disgusting. Rigged. Bad karma on Edmonton
