YES!!! I've been saying that all year. They need to use those TE's more. Kitselmen especially but they actually have 2 or 3 pretty good TEs I think they need to utilize more.

@@masonblaylock5614 absolutely!! That's one thing that Georgia does well is use their TE's. TN needs to get more in the habit of doing that cause hell Kitselmen was there ALL DAY LONG!! He damn near had 100 yards. Also Nico really looked good in this game with his passes. Receivers unfortunately droppped several but Nico was pretty locked on, and him being able to scramble and run the ball makes such a huge difference too. But yes...hopefully we'll continue to see them use the TE cause it's effective. Seems like the TE was almost always open over the middle. But yeah they got Kitselmen, Ethan Davis, and I think the other TE's name is Staes or something like that. They're all right at 6'5 and 250lbs lol They also have like 3 or 4 other TE's on the roster I'm not too familiar with that are even bigger! They got one that's like 6'7 and 260ish. It's been a long time since TN really had a TE be a big part of the offense. Jason Witten was the last I remember and that was damn 20years ago lol

I feel the same way. Just about every game our TEs have been involved, they have been difference-makers. Kitselman gave a master class on what it is to be an effective TE. This is a guy who formerly played for Saban's Bama.

We could do it. Fix the holes in the O Line to buy Nico a little more time, no dropped passes, and a missed FG here and there actually doesn't matter much. Look at how many Saban's kicker kept missing in recent years. It didn't stop them because they kept scoring TDs.

Sampson's post game interview on the field interview was great. With all the players out for Kentucky, they were running plays and schemes no one had seen before. I'm 41, been a fan since age 4, and could understand at 8. Happy with our record, defense and run game etc.. That said, this passing offense is embarrassing. Ridiculous. Almost any mid level P4 team can score better than us. You have to work hard to suck enough to score 7 points in four first halves. That's ludicrous and inexcusable.

I remain extremely frustrated with this team. The first half looked like the team was asleep on defense. The offense still is just not clicking. OL still bad in pass pro. Nico finally had some nice passes and 3 drops for tds. The play calling at the beginning of the game looked good and was more creative. Then they went back into their hole. I was happy they finally started using the TE more and short passes. That was needed a while ago. Big plays there. Whatvee their off week plan was this year vs other years, they need to torch it and go back to the other ones. Just glad for the win. We really need the offense to play well against GA. If we were playong GA last night, it would have been 21-0 or worse in the 1st half.

Congrats on a Victory. Proud to see the Freshman RB get a series and TD. Squirrel White is injured and I am disappointed to see no production by guys stepping into that role. Our receivers need to make TD catches for Nico - they cost him two last night IMO. The KY Defender delivered a hit that eliminated a 3rd TD but I believe most receivers can't pull that one down when blasted as our guy was. I am impressed and pleased with our defensive speed and improved tackling compared to last season. Matthews need to get more opportunities if he is as talented as they say he is. I am a Squirrel White fan when he is healthy, not pleased to see him trying to play hurt. Coach Heup is too system oriented; he needs to loosen up just a bit, not a drastic change. I am expecting to see this Vols Team to come out and blitz someone earlier instead of stopping ourselves. GBO GO!!!

@mpf9802 I live in the optimistic outlook. I see a team that is a few things coming together away from putting it together. We scored 28. That’s more than we’ve scored in a long time. Should have been 48 at least. That’s not counting all the redzone trips. The offense pushed the ball pretty well then stalled out in redzone. Joel will put together a plan and get it worked on. I see progress and that’s what I’m looking at.

Might be time for some hard conversations in the Wide Receiver room. And I am absolutely on the Bench Nimrod train. Kittselmans drop in the end zone was fine. Nobody is holding onto that ball when the DB hits it with his helmet… thats just a really good defensive play. Can Turbeyville not kick FG’s?? Is that a rule? I was probably the most negative I have ever been with this team last night in the chat during the game, looking back now some of what I said I probably wouldn't agree with however the lack of consistency on offense is beyond infuriating, Nico plays good our WR's can't catch a cold run game starts dominating our O-line kills it with penalties and missed blocks this offense can't seem to be on the same page when things are going good, I understand having a good defense to fall back on but how much of that is going to help out come playoff time? (If we make it that far) and find ourself down 2 or 3 scores?, I just don't see us going much further unless our offense finds a rhythm and stays in it, but at the end of the day a win is a win GBO

These people need to stay positive or move on. We are winning and our defense is elite. Stop looking for something to fuss about. Nico looked strong and there was a few balls dropped. We looked better. If those balls and field goals go our way, we put up 60. Nico looked calm and I think the game has finally slowed down for him. We are going to be playing our best football at the right time. Stay positive. We are 7-1 .

Championship Defense GBO 🍊. The offense isn't really a mess. It is just some of it is poor execution, I feel like the offensive line is who they are right now. Nico is improving, I could tell Nico is starting to get the feel of the game more and more, and being cluch is curtain moments, which is tremendously a good step in the right direction. Now, here is the point I'm gonna drive home, WRs have not been bad, not great, but "meh." Dropping balls in key moments is just disappointing, dropping balls that could change the momentum or score, "big deal." But they got the win, a win is a win. GBO 🍊.

I support the Vols GBO! But we have to decide weather we want to be good or great. Right now we’re good. We don’t have the leadership to be great. The drops and missed field goals are a lack of attention to detail. This is not hate..its simply an honest evaluation.
