I know this ain’t a typical “Ginger Billy” video, but I felt like Diesel deserved the spot light. He was the best dog/friend a human could ask for. This video was just a little way of saying thank you to him for the 10 great years he gave my family.

You are right. My problem is that my dog died 2 years ago and I still miss her. She was born with a heart problem and the vet told me she would live a short life and would die very suddenly. That is what happened. She was such a fighter and was so important to me. Can't imagine another dog.

I was homeless due to my alcoholism. Someone in the 'tent city' i lived in gave me a pit/lab puppy. (Her name was Ginger, for real). She was my saving grace. I knew after some things happened she needed a better life and i was the only one who could give it to her. After 4 yrs on streets, i got sober. I got an apartment and gave my girl a sober mama for the last 6 yrs of her life. When she passed i thought i would die from the heartbreak but i did not drink as i had promised her never again. I rescued another pup. I am on Hospice (cirrhosis, pancreatitis from drinking). I know i will see my Ginger girl in Heaven. Doggies are the best. ❤❤❤

I so believe my dog was Heaven sent. Angels brought him to my front door along with the food I sat out there. Lol. I opened the door to see if he ate any of the food & that boy shot in like a bullet. That was 12 yrs ago. He's just a special boy. I absolutely loved every dog I've ever had with all my heart ❤️. But I don't know what it is with Scruffy but he's different than any ive ever had. Just something so special about him. I love this boy with all my heart & soul. I can't kiss or hug this boy enough ❤. I want to snuggle him constantly & never let him go. When I kiss him he insists he return the kiss on my lips 💋 otherwise to him it doesn't count unless it's right on my lips. LolHe seems to know I saved him & is so greatful. You see someone opened the car door & dumped him in my neighborhood. I want to thank them because of them I've had the joy of loving this boy for the last 12 years. Love of my life. They don't know how much love they missed out on cuz I got it all & still have it. 😊❤ Thanks whoever you were for the best dog in the world.

I get it Billy. I have an outdoor ginger cat that saved me after my dad was killed in a car accident. Vet said he was about 9months old. I was grieving one night, couldn't sleep so I took a short walk behind our house when the cat found me. We sat on a bench & I told him about my dad dying. He climbed on my lap & literally wiped the tears off my face with his paw. He adopted me. He's 13years old now & still protects me. I know his time is coming though & it breaks my heart to think about it. He saved me so I saved him. Unconditional love.

You could have your precious kitty for many more years yet. Indoor kitties especially, live quite a long time...18 is pretty average, if they don’t get cancer, or some other disease that will shorten their time. I know ppl whose kitties lived till 20 & longer! Wish doggies did! But that’s real rare for them. I’ve had a dog till 17, but usually 15 is tops. Put my last one down at just under 14. 😔 Had one that got cancer, so he went at 11. They were all around 20 lbs, so they usually live a little longer than big dogs. ♥🐾 May you enjoy many healthy years to come.♥

Chopped his finger off on a log splitter where it was hangin by the nerves & he said it's gonna be ok. I'll drive to the hospital cause I heard they can reattach these kinds of thing now. He didn't cry or look worried. He drove to the hospital & after several surgeries it was reattached. Tough dude. We never saw him cry when his mom or dad died. We didn't even see him be real sad at all. But when our Golden Retriever named Molson died. We saw tears & we saw sadness that lasted all week. We got another dog. A lab. When Thor passed after 12 years we saw tears & sadness again. Only time we saw him hurt like that was when those 2 dogs died.

When I divorced my now-ex I absolutely refused to let go of either of my pitts. I knew it was coming (he was addicted to alcohol and pot) and got prepared. Before we moved into my mother’s home I changed all the vet records to only my name. The veterinarian wanted to know why and I let her know of the abuse (he had kicked our rescue boy and that was it for me). She agreed. When I filed for the divorce, I told him flat out that he was not taking any of the pets (dogs and cats). I eventually had to pay him $3000 to get out. Best expense ever!

Thank you for rescuing Bane. My husband and I have 4 dogs, and 3 are rescues. We have a 9-10 yo lab bully mix that was confiscated from a horder. She was 2-3 years old, scarred, and missing a fang. We believe she was a fighting dog. The second rescue is a 4 1/2 year old pitbull. He was abandoned with his littermates in a church parking lot in Alabama in August. They were approximately 10 weeks old and severely dehydrated when we found them. Rojo bravely crawled across the lot and yipped to get my attention. One littermate had already succumbed to the heat, 2 were unconscious, and 1 was barely moving. Rojo was the only one that could still move. We also have an almost 2 year old husky. We rescued her last June. She was 10-12 months old when someone abandoned her on a logging road near us. I truly wish that we could punish people that abuse or abandon animals by doing the exact same to them.

Thank you for rescuing your dogs from where they once were in life & offering them a loving home. Animal abusers are some of the worst people in the world. All animal abusers should be held accountable & punished. Thanks for having a heart for dogs! They truly are a gift to mankind.

Diesel is so proud of you both for rescuing Bane & using a soothing, peaceful safe spot for him in his old bed. He would want it so. I've had pitbulls my whole life. Great dogs. Bless you, your family, your fur babies. You guys make the world a better place to be in. ❤

My Friend, you have shown me how BIG a ❤ you and your wife have, I hope I can get to where you are in life. Addiction to pain pills has me hurting bad. I'm watching your videos and your positivity has given me hope. Thank you for being you. I've got the desire to get clean and help our abandoned and abused dogs, cats and what have you. My heart is empty but there's room for dogs (any animal) too fill it. Thank You.🙏

You're not alone. That was the biggest thing I felt when I was using and withdrawing. It seemed like, even though I knew a bunch of other users, they never seemed to go through it like I did. When I tried rehab even the docs and nurses and staff and other addicts said they'd never seen anyone withdraw as hard and as long as I did. My insurance even approved an extra 10 day detox after the first 14 because I was still so sick. And the worst part was that I went through withdrawals more than i didn't. I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. I hope one day soon that the "switch" in your head "flips" back and you realize you're ready to be done with that life. Not because I judge you. Just because I hate to think of you hurting - and with what's on the streets these days, it's just so scary! You never know if this time you'll wake up in an ambulance or if you're gonna snort / shoot / chew that stuff, and ---- that'll be it. I know sometimes that seems like it'd be better than having to go through the withdrawals though. But people aren't lying when they tell you that you forgot what it feels like to be clean! It's amazing dude! It really is! If you can just get through it - just commit that time to stopping - before long you're gonna wake up feeling like you're 8 years old again and its time for Saturday morning cartoons! 😂❤ Anyway, good luck! 👍 - From an emergency medical provider, a Mom of 3, and an ex - user

We rescued two Bullies. One off the streets of Oakland. He's been my best friend for years now. The other from the shelter on the last day before they sent him to the chamber. We just couldn't let it happen. His rehab took about a year and we found him his true owner. Not an easy time but so worth it. How people can just abandon these pure hearted gifts from God is beyond me. It just breaks my heart to see the suffering brought by irresponsible and selfish people. Thumbs up. You found a keeper.

When I lost my 2 pitties i thought I was going to die. They were 13 and 15 and we had had them since literal birth. I went through the same feelings of not wanting another because it hurt so bad. Now I have another male and another female that steal the covers and watch my children. Bless you guys and Bane and Diesel

God sends us what we need. I lost a dog some years ago and I planned to go adopt one at the animal shelter. The morning I walked out the door to go to the shelter there was a tiny little puppy sitting by my front door. He had black around his eyes so I named him bandit. The bond we had was incredible I loved that dog so much. Unfortunately he had some medical issues so I only had him 10 years. I miss him.

I lost my cat to cancer last January. That cat saved my life too... She woke me up as an electrical fire was about start. The plug was already half melted. After she passed, I was feeling the same as you... But a grown street cat chose me by jumping inside my car and sitting on lap. She then looked at me like saying "what's up? Are we ready to go?". She's the most sweet and intelligent cat I ever had. Never give up on them! Animals are always love and happiness

Several years ago some friends gave me a German Shepherd puppy. Her name was Jinx, and for the next 2 yrs she became my shadow. She went every where with me, slept in my bed, went to work with me. Literally inseparable. When she was 2 years old she was diagnosed with advanced spleen cancer. It took me several years to get over her lose. One day I was installing a waterline for ppl that were obviously running a puppy mill of German Shepherds. There was 4 dirty lil pups running around, and they told me to take one with me. I was torn, I contacted my family and they all demanded I take a pup. 3 years later my Athena is also attached to my hip, and I thank God I took that poor lil pup home everyday! Thank you for your story, it brought me to tears.

I can attest to that! I had 2 chihuahua girls... littermates. Had them since they were 8 weeks old. I lost the first one 2 yrs ago, she was 16. I lost the last one a yr ago, she was 17. My heart was soooo broken! There was a hole in my heart & my Soul! I've never been w/o a pup in my life since I was born. Being pup free was killing me. It took me a year to finally open my heart to a new one. She's a 6 yr old German Shepard/ Lab mix. I fell in love with her from the day I got her. The shelter was so frickin kind. Gave me a leash, collar, food, toys, treats, a harness w/a 2 foot lead. She's a Big strong baby. But I'm training her. She's so damn smart & the biggest sweetest doggo! I know my girls didn't want their mama to cry for them daily. And even since I got my Roxie, I'll hold her and still cry for my girls. I think she understands! Hell... I still cry for all the pups I've had over my 61 yrs. I'm tearing up just remembering them. I feel very lucky to be granted the gifts I've had with all of the pets I've had over the yrs! Sorry... your comment touched me. Hope it's OK that I bared my soul to you. ☺️
