I’m sure Wayne Pearce would agree with Bill that it was the 89 gf but the infamous“not in the spirit of the game” penalty, what, he just gave the penalty to the wrong team which really did seem to change the momentum.

Yep , one referee seems to flow better, less nit picking on small things. Makes the game easier to watch and play instead of 2 refs calling every incident, get rid of the six agains too

Keep the 2 ref system the game is fast and to many variables and wrong decisions with only 1 ref we have come a long way . WHY are we waiting till the 28th to restart the teams have had 2 weeks lock down let's get it going the wait is agonising.

Don’t get too carried away. Everyone’s going back to work. The infection rates will rise. One NRL player testing positive will wipe out the whole team. And the team they played last week. And a third team may be quarantined instantly while waiting for tests if the team they played last has played another since. This is why footy players need the flu jab. Any flu outbreak will be viewed as covid symptoms and will suspend the entire week for a team or two and some of the games at least so then more teams will be affected. I don’t see the NRL getting through the season uninterrupted even once it begins.
