I love your refreshing honesty, Jeff! Yes, the littleness of us can be carried by a larger awareness, without the qualities of that littleness (like sadness) immediately disappearing. Although these feelings transform in the presence of loving awareness, I haven't found in myself that they stop arising. They still come. The sense of the love carrying it all increases though - that immeasurable holding space becomes palpable.

Thank you. As someone naturally inclined towards doubt and skepticism that makes me feel heard, as if you were speaking for us people that experience it that way. I have to say, I was not a Jeff Foster student or devotee 😉or anything but hearing you struggle like that was unsettling to say the least especially also when I see the struggle in my own life and we are looking for hopeful examples not for only more warnings and dangers. We would like to imagine someone that has found spiritual peace or joy is now immune, like getting to a top of a mountain where they safe from the turmoil of the busy existence underneath (as if that was the only difficulty there is 😌). I suppose no one is immune to life and the brutality and tragedy of it. We can do our best to prevent and find safety and cultivate all the protective qualities. But the truth is we are embedded in a greater field, no matter how Guru or enlightened you are. The work and lives of countless beings & the vastness of nature holds us and makes us what we are and when we experience good fortune maybe often it is grace indeed.... like a wonderful mysterious wind carrying us. We have incredible power and the journey towards autonomy and building skills and capabilities is a profound one, yet at the same time we come to face powers greater than our own, although hopefully we can feel ourselves as being in it not just see it as the "other" (not that it is wrong to meet Jesus or be devoted to a genuine sage or however that might be experienced👼). Thank you again, Jeff 🙏 I am grateful to be able to witness you not only as a fallen spiritual "teacher" but to also see once again the power of the phoenix arising in you🔥🦅.
