Jane what an amazing story from the GP sending you home with a two week estimate for the neurologist, to you being called back in the same day. I don’t believe in coincidences and it was just meant to be that the team of neurosurgeons was there and reviewed your file. So great to hear that they jumped on it immediately to do everything possible to help you. It sounds like you have some really great doctors looking after you. The courage you showed to have the surgery so quickly is really incredible. Hope everything is going well. -Chris

Yes it was a roller coaster ride! I wasn’t going to bother with an MRI…tried to cancel the operation…Sheesh! Anyways, everything came together in the end. The medical treatment here is amazing. Onward and upward! Thank you so much for watching, and your kind words.

My 85 year old father has been told he has a brain tumour and yesterday the neurosurgeons had their weekly meeting to discuss his case amongst others as well, so hopefully we should hear in a few days what they intend to do? Scary times ahead for our family.

Hi Jane, well done on your recovery from surgery. I can empathise with you in a way. December 2019 I had gone to the emergency room, on the weekend, with thoracic back pain which had been getting worse. Spent all day there and sent home with different pain meds. On the Monday, I was still in pain and rang work to say I would not be in and I would try to see a GP, which in the UK, is easier said than done. Anyway, it was taken out of my hands as mid morning I had a full blown seizure whilst sitting on the couch! Luckily, my husband was working from home so he called the ambulance. Next thing I remember was coming round in resus at the hospital where I work being told I had a tumour in my brain with associated swelling. Very surreal as I never had any headaches. Lucky for me they said it was likely a meningioma and as I knew what this was mainly benign I was truly grateful. So two months later they removed it and that was that! I have since had another small one which was zapped with radiotherapy this August. I wish you all the best in your journey.

Thank you so much for sharing this @karynfox2138. I'm so happy it turned out the way it did, but I'm sure you were terrified until you found out it was mainly benign. (I would have been!) I wish you all the best. Maybe someone out there reading this will be helped by your story.

Sound like our treatment plans are nearly the same. I do keto for better health right now not sure it directly treats the cancer but being healthy gotta help.

Yes being healthy before, during and after treatment helps. I know this for sure because a nurse said to me that exercise helps, but they don’t know why. That’s good enough for me! I subscribed to your channel. Already feel less alone. Let’s keep in touch. Thank you so much for sharing your story ❤️
