The Day I Got Expelled PJO Animatic

So this is the first animatic i've ever actually finished! I did it on and off, over the course of 3-4 years, from late 2020 to mid 2023 (blame my ADHD brain for the delay- I'd obsess over this thing for weeks and forget about it for months, rinse and repeat). I drew and edited this up with my fingers on an old iPad that's chugging along on it's last legs.
My actual job has nothing to do with art, so I don't know when I'll next be able to upload something, but it'll likely depend on when i can pull the focus and the funds to whip something up. I definitely hope make more animatics in the future, tho idk yet; I've got many ideas, and many unfinished drafts XD

video editing software: adobe premiere rush
(Don't use this software guys, it got the job done, but it held this video hostage for like a year in the adobe cloud system before my friend managed to free it from captivity)

1. THIS IS LIKE THE FIRST PJO ANIMATIC IVE SEEN IN 2024 2. This is extremely well done all the scenes are so fluid and they flow really well together and was that Carter from Kane Chronicles I haven’t read the book but him bumping in Percy at a Museum feels fitting

My dude....WTF!!!! THIS IS SO COOL The way it opens up with Luke and then Annabeth and the mark of Athena, the lightning flash of Thalia when they say the Gods don't pay attention and Kronos forces being the centre of the kids having ISSUES is wow. And LESTER included was not something I expected but WOW. Kudos!!! And the flashes with the gods at "work" so to speak with their different occupations and showing how busy they are and the flash forwards with the Seven and other future demigods like Nico and Reyna and even MEG???? Before finally building to Percy. And I love how this is basically Percy giving lesson 101 to any new demigod in the pantheon and the cut strings with the doll is...YES! And LOL Percy making rude hand gestures before being literally dropped into greater trouble and Grover and Annabeth being used to it. Plus the way how Percy himself is on a pedestal, part of the history, part of the legend, and doomed to fight as part of a pawn and played in a game he has no choice to fight in. And was that him being gobbled up by Kronos??? Holy carp dude. LOL The Poker Player makes an appearance. The part with the statues with Medusa but also the Gods with Zeus' bolt directly near Percy's neck especially since Zeus blames Percy for the theft and Poseidon sharing his colouring is so cool. And the pithos with the horse alluding to Chiron true self. Like dude the details are on point! And lol the flashbacks to Percy's past "misdeeds" and fieldtrips are brilliant. Carter Kane!!! 2:27 And I adore how whoops wrong mythology. We ain't legally allowed to talk about that here lol! And the way how the ending has both Percy's in between the trident and the younger near the sword he will have to wield and the burden with it. Just beyond neat dude!!! Loved it.

HOLY GODS THE CARTER REFERENCE IM ACTULALY GOING TO CRY. THIS ART IS BEAUTIFUL, THE ANIMATION IS YUMMY. ITS SO HARD FOR MW TO ACTAULLY DROP MY JAW IN SHOCK. LIKE SERIOUSLY, GOOSEBUMPS. there were SO many wonderful shots in this hoooolyyy crap. i loved every single allusion to future characters and plotlines!!! annabeth with the spiders got me so bad. this is so damn (dam) awesome

I. I have not read the books in half a decade, maybe more(probably more) but this is amazing. I may not have half of a clue what's going on, but I can appreciate framing and composition, which is what I've been doing cause damn this is good (PS: 27 subs!? I figured you had at least a thousand. )

Oh wow! Absolutely amazing! This is so dynamic and fun! Your art style is gorgeous and I love your use of color. i can't even describe how this animation is so freaking dam good and how much i love this, literally the colors, the references, all the details EVERYTHING is so well done, original and inspiring, everytime you look at it you find something new and...how the heck this is all made with your finger on al old ipad????? really i love this SO MUCH, i hope you'll post even in the future cause i can't wait to see other things made by you!!!
