For me, Jump Force isn’t a game to be taken very seriously. It’s a casual game that I play just for fun. We have games like Demon Slayer and One’s Justice that can be played much more competitively, so we gotta have an arena fighter that is more accessible every now and then That being said, I do hope Spike Chunsoft is not asked for a while to keep making arena fighters, because while they are fun, yes they are flawed. One Piece Burning Blood is the only respectable arena fighter from them, while the two Jump games have its fair share of ups and downs. And then there’s One Punch Man: A Game Nobody Knows…

I've played Jump Force, especially in local with friends, it's fun for a while but it get messy and annoying for the eye because it's to flashy, and yes it's based on pure luck, i've seen people getting defeated by the spamming from newbies that just pick up the game, this game is what it is, nothing fancy but i hope they make something like this with a better quality in the future, more polished and with actual mechanics. I think most of the hate come from wasted potential instead of the game itself being complete trash.

Every character has instant transmission (goku move). You hold down X or Y and when your character flashes red, you are suppose to flick the left stick upwards to teleport behind the enemy. You can see bakugo going into a full charged smashed before teleporting behind at 5:50 , getting this move off requires a lot of timing and practice to pull off in pvp

I got this game pretty late so I’m not sure if it were the early reviews, before they may have fixed the game, but I love this game. If you get good enough it becomes a battle of the mind (psychological warfare) which is hella rewarding when you pull things off

On a similar note, J Stars Victory VS+ had a competitive scene as well (It's still going). I would say it was even stronger than Jump Force's. It had a wider initial roster and each character was fairly unique. So much tech has been developed that each one's combos and playstyle look different. (I get Jump Force has its' fans....but...) The main factor that killed Jump Force for me was the escape mechanic refreshing so quickly. J Stars is also a party game, and I would say it was a miracle the way it turned out to be. The competitive ruleset the community had brought up made it much more fun for me. (I still found this game more fun regardless...Jump Force felt lackluster in many aspects including fan service) (Also I find it funny that the servers for Jump Force would shut down first)

The game has many flaws (and I’m not even talking about the trash story mode) but a lot of people quit the game after 2 months, I’m pretty sure most of the past players didn’t dig a lot into the game mechanics, sure some element are broken (like in other fighting game) but there’s so much potential and interesting things in this game for combo and mix-up. Moving in a 3D arena is also really important to have fun and this game did a great job with the dash, super dash, jump, flying tech, vanish. I discussed with some casual players and they told me this game is only about mashing square and spamming moves so since there’s nothing interesting gameplay wise, they quit… you make another game, with better roster, cel’shading anime graphics and remove all the cheese mechanics, the game will be 300% time better 😩

I honestly do feel like jumpforce had some good gameplay ideas just executed poorly. I liked the way normal attacks worked in that not every string had to start with the same normal attack which is how demon slayer, ninja storm and every other arena fighter works (except kill la kill) i honestly feel like more arena fighter games should work like this i love demon slayer game but it would be better if you had the option to do the other 2 strings without the first part that every string starts with.

I hate that Medaka Kurokawa, and Kumagawa Misogi got cut from Jump Force's roster, especially since J stars victory vs, introduced me to them and a ton of other obscure characters that really deserved better! (Like Allen Walker, or Tsuna from Reborn.)

While J Stars was actually paying respect to legendary mangas from the shonen jump, one way or the other, Medaka Box for example being done by the guy who did the Monogatari series, and being the best deconstruction of genre, before Chainsaw Man. (It's a goddamn shame we never had a crossover between these two universe.) Plus J Stars was the first game of the series in 3D, which can excuse the clunky controls, especially because I thought that the story mode was really fun. Jump Force really had nothing much going for it.

The potential for this game was huge, but it was very undercooked. Xenoverse 2 from 2016 has more fanservice than a game that combined Shonen Jump characters from like 30 different franchises, and that's saying something. Jump Force feels empty and hollow sometimes. I really wish more LOVE was put into it, not just trying to tick off boxes to make a bare minimum game so it can be released.

i have an idea for a new game. cc2 should make Gintama, like the storm series & demon slayer. cc2 is the master at making the best cutscnes & Gintama has a lot of emotional moments. & they have quite the experience in making 3d area fighting games & they r doing pretty fine w demon slayer so the gameplay will be done right hopefully. It'll should be an open world game, u can travel in the Edo & Kabuki districk riding the scooter, taking people's requests, doing oddjobs & u can pick up the main story events as well. The side quests r gonna like this, like the anime Gintoki & Kagura breaks the table fan & he goes out to find a new one & then runs into an evil army. That evil army is reccuring villain who'll show up later on but the side quests should just flow in with the original story just like in the anime. They can make it like Assassin's Creed where u can pick up the main memory & side missions, hope the game engine can handle all that stuffs. U can even replay the main story later on. U can play as different character, switch like the GTA 5, u can pick Hijikata then u see him sucking on mayonnaise in a resturant then u can play his story events. Other characters like Katsura, he gets into a secured prison, or doing some rebel stuffs but in the story he plays a major role in different scenerio. They can interchange, like when Katsura is breaking out of prison & Gintoki was trying to break in & then they meet up in turn of events. Same thing w the Shinsengumi. Make other chars playable to & give them little quests like how Kagura bonds w the princess, they just didnt show anything like how they hung out in the castle. Or pick up Okita where a girl shows up thinking he murdered her father now he's gotta deal w it, other major stroy like when his sister shows up. Play as Takasugi where he has his own story building up Kiheitai, or events during the the timeskip they only showed as flashback. There can be many sidequests too, like the filler 2 year time-skip arc, etc. etc. etc. I hope they make a game like this. Or even make it better.
